I will say this. If Lacy comes here that will be as wrong as I have ever been on a prospect.

Watching ESPNU during halftime of the KY game and they just gave the "Best recruiting job by a new coach" to Malzahn!!!! I don't have a hate on for the guy, but give me a freakin break. He inherited a top 10 class and struggled to keep it together. CBB comes into a class rated in the 60's and will probably finish in the top 25. Who did a better job???? The Gus Love is getting hard to handle.

Malzahn just had to do damage control and let all the guys know they were welcome still(who wouldnt still want on those 4* badasses). Coach B literally had scraps, cut like 5 guys from the class? Which got us down to like 13 commits then built it up from there.
I am very happy with what he did in little time. Lets just hope he can do what he did this last month the entire year next year....

On CFB live yesterday Lugs and crew was jizzing all over the set because Auburn kept Lawson who committed to Chizik a while ago, didn't mention they lost Foster who is equally as highly rated.
Today it was a quick mention about Collins, but that was due to CBB recruiting him while at Wisconsin and Miami facing sanctions.
They are doing this because they want Auburn to be good, Tennessee is a dumpster fire or it would be them. Why? because Bama needs that arch rival since the B1G can't compete the nation "needs" the new Michigan/Ohio State game...

I have the utmost respect for Malzahn mainly for the way he conducted himself when Nutt and his cast of idiots treated him the way they did. He never once said anything bad about Arkansas and to my knowledge never has.
That said there is no way he and his staff could have done what CBB and his staff have done under the same circumstances.
It shouldn't bother me but I guess I'm insecure enough that it does.

Malzahn is smart in that he isn't vocal publicly, like Nutt was.
That doesn't mean he doesn't have others do his bidding... which he does.
He is a great politician, he has others get dirty, keeps himself clean.

No, we are full.
Expect room to be made.

Actions speak louder than words. Gus' actions have been shitting all over Arkansas since the day he used those kids to get in the college game and shave about 15-20 years off his career arc by being able to jump in at Arkansas.
Had he started at Henderson St. or OBU all of this could have been avoided. But if 2Beez brings what we think he can, I'd endure all this BS all over again.

Freeze did the same thing riding Oher to Ole Miss as a position coach.
He did the same move at Auburn that he pulled here, leaving after building up his own fanbase/faction, when things went south he was on the phone first thing with their admins, politics man.
We made an AD change at the right time or Gus could have weaseled his way in as HC here with all the support he was able to build...
