At least Fay ponied up the $$ when the bid for a flagship university came up. The McIlroys sacrificed for the state and gave up their Hill, just like we NWA fans have sacrificed by playing all these games off our campus. No south AR towns or LR even made a bid for getting UA btw.

Lived in Central Arkansas all my life. Currently living in Conway. Can't wait for the day they move all the games to Fayetteville.

But until then this thread deserves some more

LR decided a commuter school with a live 24/7 outdoor shooting range was a better option.

How many people does their stadium hold?

Might be a better alternative for the Central Ark games.

hendrix has no football stadium.

ESTES Stadium on the other hand at UCA can hold 8,035. Just enough for the little rock crowd to sell out...

Pulaski County and all the counties surrounding it except Jefferson are gaining population.

Does UALR not have football because they are just avoiding playing in WMS?

Depending on the opponent.

Probably a valid reason for them.

WMS just holds your program back, UALR is better off without it.

I wish the University system would let them.
Fayetteville has been 'keeping the clamps' on UALR for years.

Just like they held the clamps on stAte for years?

The jealousy the rest of the state has for all things NWA is hilarious.

Uh, stAte is not part of 'the university' system like UALR is. Surely you can understand the differences between the two situations.

Depends on how I examine the situation.

If I go off of heart felt emotions, probably not.

If I use reason and logic, I probably could.

Same can be applied to playing games in WMS, but when those smart enough to use logic and reason, they are called NWA elitist.

If anything, the UA System and the State of Arkansas underfunded the University of Arkansas for several decades.

The infrastructure in Fayetteville got shafted in favor of UAMS and UALR in the middle part of the past century.

The "jealousy" and petty shite has mostly flowed in one direction. Highway funding votes for NWA is still basically NWA vs the entire rest of the state for whatever reason.

Idk if you're trolling your own board, or what, but pretty much everyone I know loves NWA, as well as the rest of the state, with the exception of W.Memphis, maybe. That's one of the great things about Arkansas - there are good things about pretty much every part of if. Most people can find something to be proud of regarding most parts of the state, but aren't jealous of them.

I don't really understand the in-fighting, but I'm pretty certain it thrills other fan bases, and honestly doesn't reflect well on us. As a matter of fact, it looks like shite, imo.
