In light of the news this morning I thought we needed some good news. As of last night over 900 new members have joined Yea Alabama, and every state in the United States has at least one member. In the post Saban world guys are not going to take a pay cut to play at Alabama. Yea Alabama needs our support and our fans have answered since Coach Deboer has been hired. If you're not a member I've put the link below and you can join for $18 a month. Lets keep supporting the guys that want to be here, and give our coaches the best opportunity to keep and get the best players at Alabama.

You can join for $5 a month. (If a student) Every little bit helps.

Edited to add: I do think Yea Alabama needs to improve their membership perks. For $216 a year... you get a bumper sticker. Content that gets shared everywhere included here for free and an autograph session.

ETA: To the last comment, my suggestion for Yea Alabama would be to add a member forum. That's where they can share the "exclusive" content, but it would also allow us to have a community to talk Bama football that is free of alters (unless they want to donate to the program).

Also, how about a 15% off member discount on the apparel on the site? These seem like easy implements to make the perks more appealing.

I like both of those. Aaron Suttles is one of the heads of it and seems like he would be open to input!

It seems to me that if we truly want a competitive NIL, we need some top people running it and not just some local guys.

They should add this into tuition fees. In Fall 2023, the enrollment was 39,623.

That's an extra $8,558,568 to the NIL fund.

For $75 a month I think there should be a few autographs…

I love Aaron, and his writing. But not sure what makes him qualified to help run an NIL collective. Is he involved in the business part, or is he just a content creator?

Jay McPhillips is the executive director but unsure of his true business history.

This.
In the future, if nil/transfer rules continue in their current form, the job of collective “CEO” will be a major hire and major contributing factor in a programs success.

We shouldn’t have a guy moonlighting as the head of a collective

If you look at all the other BS charges related to tuition, room & board, etc., $216 is a pittance

Says he's just the Director of Content. Executive director is a guy named Jay McPhillips who apparently worked in fundraising for UA for a long time.

I think Aaron is mostly on the content side, but I think he would have enough pull to make the content and perks you receive for joining a bit better.

Students should pay more for school to support others that care nothing about the school? Some things are more important than football.

That’s true.

I’m pretty disenchanted with the cost of things at the university at the moment. Nickel and diming everywhere. And don’t even get me started on concessions at the athletics events.

If I were in charge of NIL I would be giving people the option to round up their concession purchases (and asking the university to make those concessions worth the stupid high price) or add on a donation as they have their card run at games.

This is a good idea to increase NIL, but frick them kids. I like watching some good Alabama football, but I’d rather give my money to something that actually matters. Rather than some spoiled, cocky little shite that’s probably going to leave the program anyway as soon as he gets a better offer.
