Nah, this board melted back when expectations were undefeated seasons and we lost along the way (Ole Miss with Freeze, A&M with Manziel, kick six). Simply coming to terms with the fact that we aren’t on that level anymore isn’t a melt, but an acknowledgement of reality.

After 2 games? Really? I can see ya'll melting down in November/December, but after 2 games? quite a reaching.

This board has been much worse after other losses. This isn’t close to a meltdown

Man, it’s not about yesterday. It’s that the cracks have shown in the program for a while now, and there isn’t yet another generational QB to paper over them. Coordinators and style have changed, yet the issues persist. Penalties, OL struggles, pass rush, instantly giving up leads in the 2nd half in close games, etc.

Lol I will never forget the people on here who wanted Bryce gone and couldn't wait to start the new phase of Alabama without him

This isn’t even close to a meltdown, I think a lot of people are admitting what some suspected - we’re just not a dominant program anymore. With what we’ve seen out of Milroe against competent defenses, the ceiling is probably something like a Cap One Bowl.

I think the most surprising thing is there isn’t more of a meltdown.

I think the biggest disappointment last night was how thoroughly we got dominated in the trenches on offense. Run blocking wasn't horrible, but they got bullied in pass protection. Kind of worst case scenario for a QB like Milroe.

You go ahead and keep your head in the sand and the rest of us will live in reality.

I think most reasonable people saw this coming so kind of prepared themselves for it. After A&M, A-Day, the scrimmage reports, etc., last night really wasn’t any kind of surprise.

No, after 2+ years. Bryce was elite and made up for a lot of the busted coverages, lack of a run game, shitty OL play, and constant penalties that have been a near weekly issue for over 2 full seasons now.

If we had Bryce we win that game by 17.

Those people are just stupid irrational "fans". We legit have a QB issue now.

I think people suspected this could happen.

I didn't. In fact I stupidly went against everything I know and predicted we would win big.

Never again

Saban has never started 1-1 at Alabama. He’s never lost at home by double digits. This is unprecedented

I mean, all of these things were bound to happen eventually.

It’s going on 3 years of obvious decline. As was previously stated, the only thing that was partially hiding the blemishes was Bryce’s play.

Yeah, he has lost at home by double digits, just not at Alabama. I heard them throw that stat out there and every Alabama fan should know it's wrong because Fran beat him in Red Stick by a much bigger margin in 02.
