The old TideSports group is slowly being diluted. I guess I'll check out the new wooly once they get situated.

The sec rant is the best thing going now, but the bama board doesn't get enough traffic to keep it interesting...it's just too slow.

if hannibal decided to take it down, i'm sure he had a good reason ... i'm sure whatever he puts up will be a good site for bama fans and others to congregate and talk ...

FootHand was only trying to help and had good intentions. Hannibal curled up into a ball like a little baby and didn't want to hear his ideas so he went over his head.

Look at what WoollyAl had become. An outdated format with 9 regular posters who were very heavily into homo-eroticism.

Every other post was a "bro, I love you", or "if you were a woman, I'd marry you", or "kiss me like you like it" type thing. These responses started out as ironic jokes but evolved into the absurd and unusual normal. They had completely ran out of ideas and were drifting into buffoonery responses as the norm.

No new posters were joining because, frankly, the site was depressing and incestuous.

FootHand wanted to update the 1996 look and feel of the board. He wanted to inject new ideas and topics into the dead and depressing usual. He merely wanted to revive the board and give the posters there another chance.

Why did he want to do this? Because he felt a connection to WoollyAl that reminded him of TideSports and the "good ole days" of his message board youth.

There is nothing wrong with that and he had only good intentions. Hannibal is a failure as administration of a football message board.

Really, why in the hell does he want to open another board? It doesn't make any sense. The site he had was a depressing, forlorn, dead, pit of sorrow that less than 10 regular posters called their home. Some idiots never learn.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but, let's discuss how horrible WoollyAl posters are.

It's beginning again, yet another board destroyed from within. Now the moderator of RollTideBama is slowly realizing he made a major mistake.

I tried to warn him but, he thought it would be okay. He believed that all of you were normal posters just looking for a temp. home. He didn't realize that his board would be totally dominated by inane and idiotic chatter. He didn't realize that he would already, after just a few days, have to be telling people they could stay or leave, post or not, etc...

What TerryP still doesn't realize, but soon will, is that his board will never be the same. All it is going to take is one wrong word, one insult, one perceived slight, and the lot of you will haunt his site 'till it is finished.

All of you are a cancer. You were cancerous on TideSports, you were cancerous on WoollyAl, and now the disease has spread to RollTideBama.
