It doesn't matter whom comes in after. There will be before Saban, with Saban, and after Saban eras.

If I had to choose right now, Lincoln Riley.

From the College ranks

Dabo.

Dave Aranda.

Luke Fickell. I doubt he'd be a good fit at Bama but just based on him as a coach.

Billy Napier.

Tom Allen.

From the NFL

Demeco Ryans.

Matt Ruhle.

Freddie Kitchens.

I’m a big DeMeco fan but has he ever recruited? Why would he want to move to college football when the NFL is an easier life?

Agreed on Riley...similar to Kiffin for me...don't trust them.

Agreed on Demeco too however he would definitely be the lone exception relevant to never having been a HC rule. And he'd be down the least because of that one yet very important factor...HC experience is pretty much mandatory for Bama.

Kiffin would take it in a heartbeat.

To be honest, it will take a unique coach. One that can be willing to continue some things that have worked, be willing to change some things that need improvement, and be good enough to know the difference.

Byrne prolly has a list a mile long with names some of us prolly wouldn’t expect . With that said , Kiffin would intrigue me if he had a Golding type DC who could recruit that side of the ball

Jim Leonhard, how can you not be impressed with him? Runs 3-4 as well.

The best recruiter available.

Dabo...Cristibol...Kiffin. Who knows how the coaching landscape will look in 2026 though. But it needs to be a proven guy...no mid major flavor of the season.

I thought you weren't an Alabama fans as long as Saban is the head coach. Or is that another one of "Saban is a piece of shite" posters?

I think this guy would be a candidate if he proves himself at UF, but if that happens he may not leave UF.
