The offense will be fine with Mack (maybe very good with Young).
The DL should be better.
The DBs can’t be worse.

If a couple of the LBs are ready to play and nasty, the dense could be good enough.

None. You don't won't true freshman LB starting in this defense. Too much for them

If Harris and Moses stay healthy, they have the middle spots locked down.

I think the only options will be at the outside spots

Can Moses and Harris be stout against the run consistently?

I think a lot of that depends on how the defensive tackles play. If Moses/Harris are generally able to be clean, yes. If they are fighting off blockers, less so.

However - and this is gigantic - we won't be guessing at which holes to fill nearly as much as did this year. Which was a huge issue.

Harris made several good plays in the bowl game. Was able to shoot the gap and make tackles, which seemed to be missing in the regular season

If our pass rush is gonna be up to snuff then we are gonna have to get one or maybe even two of these freshmen ready to play. With Anoma leaving that left us without a guy with truly elite measurables on the outside. I feel like we have two true freshmen guys with elite potential based on their body type and speed, quickness etc. Heck ,we may even have three new guys that fit the mold. Maybe one or more of the veteran players show up and make my post look stupid and I hope they do but my money is on youth unfortunately.

That’s kind of where I am.
The 17, 18, & 19 LB classes were pretty bad by Bama’s standards.

Is the second asterisk for his medical redshirt?

Loved both of these guys. We’re used against primarily entirely different offenses than what we face today and not sure they’d be able to handle modern offense as freshmen.

Any chance Harris moves to OLB?

That would put Moses and McMillon on the inside and Allen and Harris on the outside.

I think McMillon will be the third backer and be on all the special teams. Harris is going to be very special.
