been all year? Has Bama been saving it or did they just recently realize they needed this as an option. I've wondered all year about this and was thrilled to see the results,

It was a sight to see as Henry just abused the LSU defense out of that. It seems perfect for Coker to run PA and rollouts out of.

I think us getting stuffed in the redzone against UT may have been the final straw. I was ecstatic to see Coker finally get under center in the redzone and use Robinson to move people off the line.

I'm glad we used it, I hate seeing the Shotgun or Pistol on short yardage situations. I get it when Oregon does it because they never go under center, but we clearly still do, so why not go under center on short yardage plays? Glad we did more last night.

Yep. I think the staff finally admitted the Oline just cannot get it done on their own and needed help. The bye was the perfect chance to put it in.

Sometimes you see a team bring in a DL at the goal line and they end up being a non-factor - Not A'Shawn. He drove his man into the end zone and Henry ran it in right behind him.

Part of it may have had to do with LSU being terrible in the redzone this year statistically. They were more prone to giving up TDs in the redzone than almost every team in the SEC. I think they looked at some tape and realized that our best chance was to just pound it until they gave up. And they did.

Robinson was a monster. I'd make the guards watch that all day long telling them "THIS is how you run block boys."

For my sake, I am glad we are finally learning who we ARE. We have been lining up I the shotgun all year long inside the 5 yd line. That is not us. Not historically. But more importantly, not NOW! We have a 240 lb RB that (although his agility and vision have improved dramatically this year) struggles with making positive plays when people get in his backfield. Our OL excels when we line up under center and fire off the ball. We struggle at times in the gun. I am tired of screaming at the TV. Save my voice Lane. Do the right thing and hand it off to Henry. Tell them it's coming! THEY CAN'T STOP IT!!! nothing demoralizes a defense more when they know what's coming and they still CAN'T STOP IT!!! These drives can break the will of a defense.
Also, kudos to Gary In the broadcast. He said something to the effect of "Lane would rather shoot a 3 rather than make an easy layup." This is a true statement. Although I don't want to take away his creativity and instinct, we need to be careful about being too cute at times. But why shoot a 3 pointer when u have Shaquille Freaking O'Neal in the paint? Just feed him the rock and he will just go and DUNK the ball.

I'm just glad we are seeing it as well. Definitely could have used to package all season, but glad we are using now at least. Will be important this weekend as well.

It was fun watching Nysewander go all Terrence Cody on that LSU DB.

Mike Shula put in a call to Nick?

We brought A'Shawn in on goal line one or two games ago but wound up calling timeout or something and coming back out with a different look. So it's something we had prior to LSU but hadn't used
