He was a hell of a point guard until his knees went out. If Shaq would have stayed in Orlando, they might have won some championships down there.

Probably depth, he was a HS safety that they put at LB. He was always big for a safety, but he had to get bigger as a LB.
Considering how well Bama recruits that spot, its easy to fall behind if you aren't physically ready.

He was buried on the depth chart and with young guys like Mac Wilson, Ben Davis and D. Moses just getting started with more young talent coming in each year--it made sense to move on in his mind. Truthfully, we prob. needed that spot anyway for our incoming class.
