We're not sinking that much into a NON-VARSITY sport.

You think they wouldn't make the jump with an on-campus arena? I bet they could also make money by letting locals use the ice whenever the team isn't practicing.

They already have decent attendance as a club team. If they announce a new arena to be completed in 4 years, they can make the jump to NCAA after the upcoming season. Give them 3 years as an NCAA team in Pelham, and they should really be able to compete once the arena is ready.

At least announce a campaign to raise money for an arena with the promise of making the jump once a certain amount is raised.

Not a chance when they won't spend the only on a new arena for basketball. Which is an actual revenue sport. And a solid income at that.

What's needed is a multipurpose arena with the city of Tuscaloosa.

Speaking of hockey, anyone know how I could get a jersey? I've looked everywhere online and can't find one.

What would the new women's sport to satisfy Title 9 be?

They are getting new jerseys, so you may have to wait just a little while for them to get a shipment.

Maybe we'll get a youth hockey league if it happens. I don't see why not.

Not sure, but a new aquatic center is coming soon. The old ones location will be absorbed by the football team.

Would that be where this academic center is planned for? Good location.

I wouls guess this is the new wave of spending for SEC schools because we also built a new academic/nutritional facility that just opened recently. It's inbetween our football complex and Bud Walton Arena. I believe the total cost for the building was around $11 million.
