I'm always happy after a win despite the score or how poorly we played. I was at Alabama during the Shula years so I appreciate any win. But I've never seen a Saban-coached team rack up some many penalties and fumbles. Does Kiffin not place any emphasis on the fundamentals?

Blame the position coaches, not the coordinator. Also, it's not just the offense that is lacking fundamentals. One of the TDs Ole Miss scored could have been prevented by using fundamentals. They threw a pass toward Brown. He couldn't tackle the WR, but he held him long enough for the safety to get there. Perry, being the dumb arse that he is, put his head and shoulders down trying to knock the guy silly instead of either pushing him out of bounds or wrapping him up. The WR easily just side stepped him and walked into the endzone.

He has nothing to do with it. He designs game plans and calls plays and oversees the offense. The position coaches are the ones coaching the ins and outs and the fundamentals of the offense. Regardless, the defense is every bit as undisciplined and lacking in "fundamentals" at the moment.

No, he's just a bad safety.

Because he missed an open field tackle on the one yard line on one of the best WRs in the SEC?

This makes him a "dumbass"?

Totally agreed.

From last year to this year we have tons of penalties, fumbles (which I sometimes equate to really bad luck), and poor tackling compared to any other year.

Lot of football left tho. We'll probably right all of that stuff. I hope anyway.

I seem to see this lots in football today. Guys trying to make a big hit with their head down instead of wrapping up and making a tackle.

It's bad luck when someone puts their helmet on the ball and you just can't hold on. It's fundamentals if your own knee knocks the ball out.

I suppose I haven't really done any comparative analysis on total forced fumbles vs butter fingers on the season as a whole.

Frankly, I can't pay attention past the RED i'm seeing through my eyeballs when games get stupid.. so details aren't my fine point. I suppose I could have realized that before I made a comment on the fumbles. Of course, you're right.

These guys are smoking pot. Think about that first team Saban had at BAMA. Dope smokers can't get shite done but they all think they can.

Oh, neither have I. I just said that because Jones fumbled a punt on Saturday because he was running and his own knee/thigh knocked the ball out because he was carrying it so low.

I'm not a sunshine pumper, I always call it like I see it unless I'm just giving someone shite, that's why they can't stand me on the tiger rant.
