We have a lot coming back and an easy schedule for 2013. I think there's a good possibility that we will be back in the NCG come next January.

I want to see how the secondary and defensive line progresses before I'm convinced. The offensive line will need to gel pretty quick too, but there's lots of talent and depth there. But the schedule offsets most concerns over new starters.

Right now? MGM has us @ 3/1 odds which equals 25%

Right now we have a 100% chance to 3peat

The odds are in our favor to 3peat--it mainly depends on how the OL progresses this offseason.
For the sake of hypothetical discussion, which team would most likely be our opponent in the National Championship game?
Ohio State Im guessing??

I would say Ohio State. After that, I really have no idea. FSU is talented but always disappoints. Clemson has a shot with Boyd but it probably won't happen. Is Oregon going to be good?

All depends on the Gymnastics team
Since Nick Saban has arrived, every time the Gymnasts win a trophy.... Alabama wins a BCS Title.
2009 SEC CHAMPIONS
2010 -
2011 SEC CHAMPIONS, NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
2012 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
2013 tba

It will be interesting to see if Ohio State can still perform when they aren't under a bowl ban.

I am 100% certain that we will threepeat.

If we get by A&M, then I'll feel pretty good about it.
Complacency will be the biggest villain this year. (See 2010 season)
However, don't sleep on the Ole Miss game. That could be a trap game down the road.

Someone I know that is close to Saban was told by Saban that if he had 3 offensive lineman he would win the NC this year.

Easy schedule.
Best team.
Faith in team and coaches.
No reason not to be sure. If we play how we should no one will touch us.

Saban basically said that if the Oline can gel or guys improve through spring training we can win it again. All the pieces are in place everywhere else, we just need some blockers.

Thanks

Agreed. The stars are aligned and I think Saban will keep the pedal down. He already said .....last year was kinda unexpected....this was supposed to be the year. Basically said last year kinda over achieved. Roll Thride !

I wish he'd keep the pedal down more often. I like our backups getting PT, but not when they're ruining shutouts.

I'd sacrifice shut-outs for others getting PT and valuable experience .

It sounds like pure, unbridled homerism, but the only thing keeping Bama from winning it every year is attitude and complacency. Their talent on the field and on the sidelines is wholly unrivaled.
