Good motivation. Should have posters with these words plastered all over the locker room and weight room.

Sure, but he wasn't that far off base. They probably should have scored that many. Some real head scratching play calls in the red zone, and wasting several seconds after that long pass to Coates at the end of the 1st half and settling for a FG.

They also should have lost by 8 more points. They pulled out all of the stops to pretty up the score when the game was way out of reach.

If you should have put 60 on somebody, then you don't, who's fault is that? Is he blaming himself, the players, who?

We should've put 70 on them.

We went to our "prevent offense" with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter

Remember the 4th quarter though when he let he HUNH offense drain 6 or 7 minutes off the clock so it would leave Bama with no time for another back breaking drive. Gus more concerned with keeping Bama from putting up 60 than with Auburn trying to score 60. The tiger defense had the stopping power of wet toilet paper towards the end of the game and Malzahn knew it. He was scared out of his mind to let Yeldon and Henry get the ball back in their hands because he knew his defense couldn't stop them from putting 62 on the scoreboard. Saban would have most likely kept it extremely vanilla and just ran it straight up the gut, but the AU defense was worn out and would have just been tackling air as the Bama backs ran by them.

The Bama D should have a ton of motivation for this game. Auburn has shredded them the last 2 years. Bama's D should be out for blood in this game.

A dude I work with said Auburn should have scored 80. I said if Auburn scored 80 then Alabama would have scored 90. Auburn wasn't winning that night buddy.

Our defense actually played fairly well in 2013 all things considered. We held them over 100 yards below their season average and 12.5 pts below their season average.

Terrible play calling and poor kicking lost that game.

I think locker rooms material serves it purpose but I think with the run Bama has been on. what hasn't the team heard before? Even if they are new players.

However, I would argue that the "Dynasty is dead" talk should be the best locker room material that the team has had in a long time.

When a team runs for over 300 years against you, you aren't playing very well.
