We need a Dome at BDS

It's time for us to go with a retractable dome over BDS and a jumbotron like they have in Dallas. Put an end to the best stadium debate once and for all.

seems like a good use of hundreds of millions of dollars, especially when we already have one of the nicest stadiums around

why do we need to be the best. Putting a dome over BDS right now would not make it the best. BDS is perfect the way it is

Had to be 100 degrees with high humidity in TTown this past week.
Might not be a bad idea

It rarely gets that hot in September.

Hopefully that never happens.

No we don't.
However, we should add what a lot soccer stadiums have. An overhang that covers all of the fans. Protecting fans from sun and rain will increase attendance. Something similar to:

increase attendance for what? most if not all games are sell outs already

While we at it put a pool all the way around the top.

Actually, it isn't. The scoreboard absolutely sucks. Skinny little digits; you have to actually search for information. And it's worse at night. In contrast, take a look at Neyland's sometime, for example.

I don't want a giant arse scoreboard sitting on top of the stadium. I think the smaller boards and ribbon boards work well. The concourses and concessions in BDS need to be updated next.

I'm not talking about a giant arse scoreboard. I'm talking about this...
instead of this...
Bold letters and numerals. Both teams' scores right there together. Words like "down", "TOL", easily readable. Ours suck.

Who gives a shite about some dumb stadium pissing match? It's a really nice stadium; one of the nicer ones around. Let it be. You are talking about a university that is almost a billion dollars in debt spending millions more on what would be, in essence, a vanity project.

Except the facility updates undertaken by the University and those of the athletics department aren't necessarily tied together.

With our 4th quarter program, I say that gives us an advantage over any team that steps in BDS.

Yeah, our scoreboards absolutely suck. Can never tell what each number means.
