I have no idea if Alabama goes undefeated te rest of the way. But if they do, there's a 90% chance they make te playoff.

We still have a chance to win it all this season... we just need to play with much more intensity from here on out. We have a tough road ahead of us.

We definitely need to come out ready to play on Saturday.

We have some tough games ahead but they are all winnable. Thankfully the three toughest are at home.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but being in the top 5 in early October doesn't really mean a lot. This team might have some bigger issues than whether or not we handle Arkansas and get back in the top 5 right now.

At least Arkansas is more like us as far as what we are used to prepare for. We won't have to get ready for a running QB, spread attack, hunh, or any of that junk. We just have to be ready for smash mouth running with play action. That should help the D get their swagger back. Run games don't worry me nearly as much as sophisticated passing attacks.

Not a guarantee there. TCU is #9 and play at #5 Baylor Saturday. If they win an undefeated TCU will jump us. So we win we should get to 6th at least. But 3 teams in front of us right now have to lose games at some point.

Two of them could be to us. My preference would be for MSU to win this weekend and be undefeated when we play them. And then we can play an AU team with hopefully only that loss meaning they beat Ole Miss as well. Which would probably mean we play a top 10 AU team. And then MSU beats Ole Miss giving us the ticket to Atlanta. Not only would it move 3 teams below us but should put us at 2 or 3 with the wins at that point.

We don't have to win the SEC, but in an ideal world we do.

A&M beats Ole Miss, Auburn beats MSST, we beat MSST and Auburn, Auburn or MSST beats Ole Miss.

But again, we don't have to win the SEC to get in with the way things are looking right now.

I completely agree that if we win out we should get in the playoffs. Winning the SEC would be a lock not winning it but winning out the season is probably 95% chance we still in it.

To win out and win the SEC would make us almost forget the loss to ole miss, considering how much it means to win a division like the west and the SEC.

Agree?

Ask Florida how much they remember their Ole Miss loss in 2008. They could not care less.

This. What game from the 2011 season do you remember more? 21-0 or 9-6?

I'm actually kind of pissed that they only dropped us to 7. I wish they had put us just out of the top 10. Would have sent a message to the players that the script A dont mean shite unless the players wearing it make it mean shite. Just dropping us to 7 still gives them the impression that the script A is a safety net. Either way, if we win out we would still be top 3-4 regardless BECAUSE of the script A, but we would at least earn it.

all that needs to happen, and very well could happen, is for ole miss to lose to miss st and auburn. then we need to beat both miss st and auburn (and a&m but i am not worried about them or lsu) and we go to the sec championship, into the playoffs. this team can do it if the turnovers and penalties ever stop.

Seriously??? After a historic saturday where 6 of the top ten teams lost? We're still behind all of the undefeated teams (except Arizona). I understand that you're not too high on this years team but you're kinda overreacting, and being too hard on the team.

TCU is also still undefeated, as is GT.

Not saying GT should be ahead of us

The more I think about it, the more I can see this team losing every single game left on the schedule, except for whoever the FCS cupcake is before the IB. Really.
