We all thought this team was going to be like 2015 but in reality it was like 2014.

Pretty similar results…although this 2023 group did beat Georgia in its prime under Kirby. That should be remembered.

2014 team only had to get through Mizzou to go to the playoffs.

It was more similar to ‘14 for sure. Really a shame that Cooper only won one ring at Bama.

This team was not like 2015 because it did not have a consistently dominant offensive skill player. This team was not like 2014 because it did not have a consistently dominant skill player.

In fact, if this team had a Derrick Henry or Amari Cooper on the roster then they probably win the Rose Bowl. The core problem with this offense was the QB was the best offensive playmaker on the team and he wasn't a particularly good passer other than doing Sexy Rexy frick It I'm Unleashing The Dragon deep balls.

I meant the season's outcome. Not every detail.

Bama hasn't had a physically dominant RB since Najee or B Rob. Jamo was the last true elite WR. Metchie close.

Haven't had a 1000 yd rusher or receiver in the last 2 seasons...yet UGA didn't have that either and won back to back Natties.

Georgia had two freaks at tight end that alleviated their problems at wide receiver. Bowers and Washington were/are absolute freaks.

Similar season to 2015 in some ways throughout the season.

But when actually comparing the teams and talent (and coaching staff), 2023 nowhere close to 2015.

I know it sucks right now but I count this season as special. That Iron Bowl win will never be forgotten like 'The Kick' in 85. Winning the SEC is always a good season. Perspective.

It’s 2014 but swap offense with defense.
