Is there still a good chance he might be able to get on the field during the playoffs?

This is one thing the irritates me about letting Ohio State in the playoffs.
JW got hurt in the 5th game of the season, which happens to be the same number of games the entire team of Ohio State has played all season. Sure, some of it's not their fault, but Alabama endures the loss of a player to injury, meanwhile Ohio State gets to sit back and let everyone think they're so great, not having to worry about any season ending injuries

They shouldn't be allowed to get in if they couldn't play a full schedule. Even if they play in their conference championship game.

If we get Waddle back I don’t see any team stopping us. DeVonta, Waddle, Metchie, Najee, and now Billingsley......

HOLY shite

At the same time though, their fans aren’t getting to enjoy the same # of games as people like us are. So really, the fans are getting screwed the most in this whole ordeal.

There is noway the committee and the power five conferences in this yr of Covid would not seed a final 4 without Osu.
The top program's from T.v. revenue view would be there best rating money maker.
Reese Davis finally said " come on they the committee has done enough how much more can you do to assure they are in.They applied every other bench mark to every other team except OSU.

Its not about if there talent is enough to be a top 4 team. Its there easy road to the playoffs.Osu best win is a blown 28 point lead at home to Indiana. What amazes me is they could have taken a high school team bus ride and played Cinn. Also A&M wanted to play them but big 10 said noway.

The emergence of Billingsley over these last few games has been such a pleasant surprise. Just when you thought our offense couldn't get any more dynamic, now all of a sudden you've got to cover a tight end who runs like a wide receiver?

It ain't fair, but I don't care. Let's Roll!

They also don't have to worry about having a Purdue or Iowa slip up. The notion that it doesn't matter because they are better than the rest of the Big Ten is ludicrous. They were better than all of them those seasons, too, and still got run off the field by average teams.

Yeah I think it would be different if Ohio State hadn't lost to a bad team in 5 or 6 years, but shitting the bed against one mediocre opponent every season has become an unofficial tradition in Columbus. Putting them into the playoffs with a 5-0 or 6-0 record would be a fricking joke.

Agreed - Alabama not playing Arkansas, State, Tennessee and Missouri wouldn't be a big deal. Alabama literally never loses to those teams (or teams like them).

Ohio State does it every other year.

From my understanding Waddle has a good shot to dawn a crimson uniform and wants to.

Yeah if even Saban is saying he's trying to comeback, then it's a real possibility.

quote:

“We’re very encouraged. Everybody thinks he’s doing really, really well. He’s had a great attitude about it, and he’s gonna work hard. He told me that he wants to try to come back and play, but we’re certainly not gonna let that happen until he’s fully 100-percent healthy.”

I know some were saying he was ahead of schedule. He got his cast off 2 weeks early. And it's normally a 10-week full recovery from this type of injury. Which would put him coming back a week before the Semis.

But I'm sure that's the standard recovery time. Recovery time for this is going to be different from an elite athlete compared to Aunt Suzy from down the street. You'd expect he could recover quickly.

I can't see him donning a jersey for semi final being that it's two weeks after Sec Championship. He would have to practice next week to start getting used to it.

Yea I keep having to remind myself that there’s only two weeks between the SEC championship and the playoffs instead of the usual month or so.
