8 guards will be on the floor during most of the game...and it will still be a slow game

If Moussa can send Kedren Johnson out of the game early with a concussion, I really like our chances.

Moussa is actually starting to grow on me. He is still a huge liability on offense, but he is slowly but steadily looking more competent in that regard. He has become a pretty good post defender/shot blocker though. He still fouls too much, but he isn't nearly as bad as he was.

Believe it or not, I wish we'd give him a post touch about every other possession. He's not an awful passer and he's looked decent backing down the guy and trying to score. He gets good position. I'd rather see Moussa throw up a hook shot over feeding Cooper or Pollard in the low post and watching them sling up a fade away left handed bullet at the rim.

I somewhat agree. My biggest worry with giving him the ball in the post and letting him work one on one is that he still doesn't seem to have a grasp on moving without traveling and avoiding a charge. He just kind of panics and tries to do everything in a hurry. If he is deep in the post and just has to make a quick move or put up a hook shot then I have no problem giving him the ball. He has problems when he has to think. If he just has to react, he's fine.

without traveling

That's his biggest problem to me. He doesn't know how to keep his pivot foot planted. He doesn't have bad post shots or anything. People sometimes complain about his moving screens, but half of them now are from our guards trying to move before he is set.

He's got better post moves than Jacobs I think. Hopefully he'll get that traveling under control though. Since he's gotten a little better, does that mean we like Pujol again?

Not sure about that, but if he gets Jacobs to go right twice in one game he deserves Coach of the year.

Someone needs to research potential assistant coach candidates. I'd love to get someone that has a strong post developing background/recruiting ability.

I'd love someone that could actually teach an up tempo offense.

I've almost accepted that that'll never happen.

Why do we have a guard heavy team and not run the floor? We should be out running every team and wear them down in the latter parts of the game. however, our slow, deliberate offense does not wear any opponent down.

Because Jacobs and Gueye would have a heart attack trying to keep up.

Bama opens as a 2.5 point favorite at Vandy. Never thought I'd see the day.
