Gotcha. We drive up from Talladega to get some. Going to need to try the desserts next time.

I think I know the place you're talking about too. Been closed for a little while I think. Had a good burger there too. Can't beat a good BBQ place burger

Fat Boy's BBQ in Prattville. I also believe there's a Fat Girl's BBQ on US-82 around Billingsly.

Hoo's Q- Probably my least favorite... tastes remotely like the kind of bbq you get in a tub at a grocery store, but I don't think there's such a thing as bad bbq
101 15th St E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Agreed, why did they think they could start a bbq restaurant in one of the best bbq towns in the world with bbq that tastes like its out of a can. Hoo's was a big letdown.

The original Golden Rule in Irondale is my favorite.
2504 Crestwood Blvd. Irondale, AL. Exit Memorial Drive/Kilgore off of I-20. I do not take 459 to go from Atlanta to T-Town, because Golden Rule is about 5 miles inside of 459. Good chopped pork, real fries, good baked beans. You can eat, pay, and be back on the road in 25 minutes.

That place is awesome. There's guys who have been working there for 30+ years.

Pruitt's BBQ in Gadsden on Rainbow Dr(I believe) is pretty good. I actually like their catfish more than I like the BBQ.

Wilson's BBQ in Albertville on HWY 431 is good.

Boneyard BBQ in Albertville on HWY 75. A friend of mine owns it so I feel obligated to say that it's good.

Tate's BBQ is Scottsboro is really good if you like a vinegar based sauce. It's a pull up spot with no inside. The place looks like it should be condemned but is actually one of my favorites.

Triple R BBQ in Scottsboro. I haven't been their yet, but my mom tells me it's really good. She grew up in Austin, Tx, so I trust her opinion about good BBQ. Google reviews seem to offer a different opinion though.

No more, sadly. They don't have their pit anymore, although back inthe day, IMHO nothing could beat it

Bunyans Bar-B-Que for their hot slaw and hot dogs is a must have before you die. 901 West College St., Florence, Al. 35630

Sledges BBQ has some of the best brisket I have ever ate. Good pulled pork and ribs, the Brunswick stew is legit. 45 golden Pond Rd. Florence, Al. 35630

I have ate there on more than one occasion and it just wasn't that good to me. Maybe they have changed things up a little. It's probably been a couple of years since I have ate there. In the same neighborhood is Mud Creek that I think has better Q.
