I watch a lot of You Tube videos on what's going on in college football (I'm retired now). Last night I was watching a guy named Aaron Torres who was quoting a webpage devoted to UGA football. Supposedly, Carson Beck has told Kirby he wants $4 million to come back to UGA next fall.

Do I know that this is true? I really don't know and it might not be true but if it is true, that's pretty ballsy on Beck's part. You could have put just about any Division I QB back there with that offensive line and been pretty successful.

I don't begrudge any player getting paid legally what he can but that's a crazy amount of money for a guy who's decent but not great QB.

If this is true Beck has done a 180, cause even when he was committed to us he was still holding out hope for the UGA offer. I think it is BS but you never know.

It is clear NIL is mostly fools gold anyway. If Evan Stewart is saying it is not the money you think it is with the social media visibility he has, a lot of this guys in the portal just below the top tier guys are in for a rude awakening.

That's probably BS. Beck isn't dumb enough to ask for that much money.

I doubt he gave Kirby an ultimatum, but I do think that it's possible that someone close to Beck leaked to the media member that he's hoping to get that kind of money in terms of total NIL.

When you equate it to the NFL Draft, a guy picked in the second round is probably going to make about $4 million that first year between signing bonus and salary. Beck probably is at least a second rounder.

I have read that the better QBs are getting 1 to 1.5 million NIL money. But isnt Beck considered a late first round or early second round draft pick. The signing bonus would be more than 4 million, wouldn't it? I just dont see him staying if he is rated that high. Ga is going to lose a lot of players on offense and have a more difficult schedule.

$4 million is about right for a second-round pick. First round is considerably more. Early first is in the 20's, end of first is 11-12 range I think.

But again, that's a one-time signing bonus for the length of the contract. You aren't getting that each year.

That's pretty funny if true. He clearly over value's himself.

Those players get the the equivalent of NIL money with endorsements, etc, so its not like he loses out on all the NIL money if he goes pro. If he thinks he can move up to high first round next year, then it might work out better to stay. I just dont see him having a lot better year than this one. If Milroe improves next season, Beck will likely be behind him due to Milroe's perceived ceiling. Plus, Kirby isnt going to let his QBs sling it all over the yard. Not going to happen.

He might could get a lucrative No Doz endorsement deal.

Just yank all Scholarship offers, watch the Libs who put these Lawsuits out a few years back, BACK TRACK.

It was obvious to me this was a play by Calf. to get these players Unionized. I stated at the time, just say there will be no scholarships from this point on, they would have backtracked very quickly. I stopped watchin pretty much a coupe years ago because of this and the Transfer Policies, it was easy to see what was coming.

It was only by virtue of drops by defensive backs that he's not coming off a four interception, one fumble performance.

Start high and hope for the best. I hope Pat Dye 2.0 has to dip into his visor budget to buy this guy.

1 TD on those 4 INTS makes it a double digit win. 2-3 TDs and its a snoozer.
