Georgia will open as 1-point favorite vs. Alabama says @LVSuperBook, ending Bama’s record streak of 72 consecutive games as favorite

One fricking point?

Well, it had to end sometime. I'm excited about being the underdog (for now).

Couldnt think of a better time to be an under dog. Hopefully the coaching staff can use it for motivational aspects.

The line can move in Bama's favor. Bama opened has a 2 point dog against LSU in the 2011 NCG. By gametime Bama was a 2 point favorite.

Being the home team is worth 3 points, so neutral field we would be favored by 2. I still think the line will move though and we might be favored.

If we win the NC this season all of these meaningless broken streaks will be tossed to the side

Winning is what matters, winning NCs even more

-1 point underdog. Good. Basically means we have a 50/50 shot. As good as any.

Saban will use this as a talking point to the team this week. Play the underdog role. UGA in trouble.

I don't think using the under dog as a motivational tool should work for us.
I could understand it if it was a once in a career type game, a "us against the world" situation.
Win or lose, well go back to being the favorites again.

Totally disagree. He pounds into their heads that this is the first time in 72 games that this team has been an underdog and that that isnt alabama football and, if these guys are motivatable (is that a word lol) this could make them get their heads out of their asses, especially if the offensive line recognizes that they are a huge part of the problem. (they have to recognize it first)

Streak won't die! Alabama favorites in 72 straight gms. Georgia favored all week, but big $ now has Bama favored at some spots. Stay tuned.
