Man, you might be the biggest Bama homer I've seen on this board in quite a while. Did you come here from wooly or tidefans?

would take homer smith over any oc ever ... helped david smith, a small, skinny left handed qb, lead the tide to a 9-3 record in '88 ... people keep referencing gary hollingsworth the next year, but gary was somewhat heavily recruited out of hs ... david smith was a nobody ...

Do you read most of my posts? I'm nowhere near a homer. I asked a question and answered it no with the option to change it in the future.

Check the toss sweep thread. I was the only person against it.

Ever? After just a few games?

How old are you? You understand Alabama won before Kiffin? Right?

Points Shmoints! You are forgetting what the Bear said.

On his radio show after a game where Bama racked up a big score the host commented about how many points Bama scored. To whick the Bear said:

"Offenses may score points but defense wins championships."

When the host asked him to explain the Bear replied:

"If the other team can't score they can't beat you."

When's the last time you saw a score like 65-53? Neither team has a defense.

Everyone talks about recruiting QB's, RB's, and WR's. In reality the defense and the OL and DL are more important than the offense.

If you check the stats for our last 3 NC's you will see that our defense was ranked far higher nationally that our ioffense.

Quote THE BEAR!

This is true. Plus we've consistently had great O-line play. Well, mostly great.

Our D-line play has been improving each week and I like it. One of Florida's last drives I think the D-line got into Driskel's face in every single play, almost sacking him once, blocking a pass once, and overall screening him on the other 2 plays. Oh and they stopped him on all 4 downs. But yes, I know it's Driskel.
