i doubt it. If he is kicked off the FB team I doubt the track guy would keep him. It would not be a good sign for folks that work in the same athletic department. If he makes the trip to the final game, assuming we win, then we know he is coming back.

I hope he can get his act together. I can't believe how far he has seemingly fallen due to attitude issues.

For me he IS the starting strong safety next season, but that won't happen until he gets his act together and accepts the fact he isn't a lockdown corner.

I was so pumped when he committed to us! Given the situation his father was/is in, and how close his whole family seemed, I just don't understand what's going on with him. Maybe finally being free of family responsibilities?

Seems to me he has poor self-control. If Tony wants to grow to be a great man, he is going to need to control those emotions and actions.

I just hope he shows the maturity to do it. Some people are making this a death sentence when this could actually be the thing that turns that kid around. It wasn't a death sentence for Ryan Andersen or Dillon Lee, so it shouldn't be for Tony Brown.

This is the type of discipline I wanted for Robbie and Denzel, but instead their coach was an enabler who would look the other way.... unless his hand was forced to do something. That basically hurt their development as MEN.

I just laugh at the stuff Gray's mother says. Send your 5-star kid to Hugh Freeze at their own peril. Kids need structure and discipline. Even if Tony Brown decides to make a rash decision and leave, the hope is he will learn his lesson by the next time he gets another opportunity and that will in turn make him a better person and develop him to being a real man.

He will be back for the NCG if Bama wins. Heard he was a hour late for curfew and it was the team leaders that wanted him sent home. It shows how focused this team is, minus one player. It would be a bigger loss if Bama was playing Oklahoma or Clemson. Bama will be playing out of their base D in this game.

The biggest takeaway from Tony getting sent home is that the team's leadership council help make this call if not MADE the call. Seems like it was up to the team and they are taking an all business approach to the playoffs.

I hope we don't miss his speed on Special Teams. He's always the first one down on the punt coverage unit.

I must have missed that. The team actually voted to have him sent home?

A 9 player council did and Saban approved, per ESPN.

Shows me that this team is focused and looking to take care of business.

Think he was late to a meeting. He will be back for Glendale.

Powerful message though. The team leadership council made the decision. This is a focused and pissed Bama team. Mo Smith will do fine. He is an upperclassman with a lot of PT.

This team has outstanding leadership, probably the best of the Saban era. They are on a mission and ain't taken prisoners. Cook will get hit hard and offer. Every DL and LB knows which shoulder is bad.

Bama can terrorize with five and drop 6 into coverage. Its going to be hard for Cook to get comfortable. Jackson, Hump, and Fitz will have chances at picks. We haven't seen the Defense play its best game yet. Its coming tomorrow night.

Alabama's decision to send cornerback Tony Brown home from the Cotton Bowl was made after Brown started a fight with one of the Tide's defensive lineman during one of Alabama's pre-Cotton Bowl practices, according to sources.

I'm gonna guess that a DL didn't like the way he was practicing and said something, Brown must not have liked it.

Does he get a plane ticket home or does some poor GA drive him back? That would be one long, awkward car ride.

I heard when we sent two guys home from Miami that they made them ride the bus home. I would say bus, unless a family member out there wanted to give him a ride.

I'm guessing the D-lineman was not A'Shawn. Would anyone in there right mind mess with him.

Does anyone know more about this now? Just curious what the fight was about, and with whom. Saban said he's suspended, so it's doubtful (at best) he plays on Monday.

So he wasn't actually late? Maybe it was a combination of both incidents. Pure speculation on my part

I'm just curious...on our DL, whose arse did Brown think he could whip?
