Bama's replacing their top 3 scorers and starting point guard off a team that wasn't very good anyhow. All these things would almost certainly be true had Grant not been replaced.
I was a big Anthony Grant supporter, but for whatever reason he just couldn't get over the hump. His teams played hard, slow methodical basketball. Because of that style, they didn't score a lot but they were also rarely blown out.
AJ's the polar opposite. They're going to be exciting and fast. They'll sometimes put up some spectacular numbers but they're also going to get blown the frick out - probably a lot.
In the end, does it really matter if you finish 17-15 under both systems? What matters for sure is that there were almost 15,000 fans in Coleman for opening night. There are for-real national prospects seriously considering Alabama. There is fire and hope where there was lifeless apathy.
New players, new system, but also a new hope. They're allowed put up a few duds.

I still think Coleman is better than Ingram. I think Coleman is a better passer and shooter but obviously Ingram has the ability to post up on any guard. No one on this team is very good though.

I knew this was a building year, but I expected the guys to play better than this. Turnovers and airballs

How did we win the exhibition game? Did they play all bench players?

This game looks like a game at the REC center between the Intramural champs vs a pickup team of frat boys

I really didn't hate Grant until about an hour ago.

It is times like these that I wish I was mega rich, talking 10 figures. I would go to Bolden's house and make him so no.
