Rather open with a team that's been fairly consistent throughout the years, but can be a little bit easier to beat. Pittsburgh for example.

3-1 down the stretch and winning at least one in the SECT is the bare minimum for NCAAT consideration imo.

I feel confident that it's at least possible for us to do that, so I'm happy considering where we were two months ago.

The end of next week is our last regular season game. So next week we should have an idea of if we really have a shot or not

Bubble team article

Here's what it says about Bama:

quote:

Alabama: South Carolina has been the most generous team in college basketball this season, handing out quality wins to bubble teams all over the place. Clemson got their best win courtesy of the Gamecocks. So did Arkansas, and so did Alabama, who went into Columbia and knocked off SC in four overtimes. As of this moment, Alabama is still on the wrong side of the bubble, but they still have games to play. Win these four games — Georgia, at Texas A&M, Ole Miss, at Tennessee — and suddenly Avery Johnson looks like he has an NCAA tournament team on his hands.

They just wanted CAJ to feel at home

I think we could give Florida a lot of trouble now with how we rebound. They've lost several bigs.

I'm just happy to be in this position and really excited to watch them the rest of the way.

Honestly, last year I kind of knew it was a mirage. I didn't think we'd lose at home to State, but we won so many close games. This year, we feel like we are about where we should be (and KenPom reflects both of those). I think we can straight up beat the last 4 teams on our schedule and win some SECT games.

We won't, but we can. And so, that makes me excited. Why the hell not, right? Who on earth thought after the loss to Clemson that we'd be on everyone's bubble on February 21st? I sure as hell didn't.

I think how well we do in the SEC tournament will depend a lot on who we face. I really hope we avoid Arkansas. They're a bad matchup for us.

Yea - I'd like to stay away from Arkansas, Auburn and Kentucky. We just don't match well with any of them. And I haven't watched enough of Ole Miss to be able to comment on them.

I think our best bet is a #12 Mississippi St/#4 South Carolina/#1 Florida run.

I assume USCe winning this game against Florida is technically better for us than if they lost?

I think so. And we also need Auburn to win bc we don't want their RPI to drop to 100+ and that count against us twice. I hate Auburn, but we need all the help we can get.

This is off topic, but the Mizzou fans trolling the South Carolina fans about Frank Martin is really entertaining to me. I'm really not sure why I get such a kick up of it

I've seen that. How did that even get started to begin with?

One of the Mizzou posters just started it out of nowhere. I wish that I could remember which one started it.

The Gottfather may have busted Georgia Tech's bubble tonight.

Clemson also lost and they were a bubble team. That likely knocks them out. I think they're either 4-10 or 4-11 in ACC play now

I know they beat us, but no one should even be on the bubble with that conference record.
