FWIW Evans has had as good a camp as anyone on the team.

Saban just spoke to the media. He said Najee Harris WILL have an opportunity to play Saturday. Raekwon Davis still hasn't practiced. He also said Da'Shawn Hand has done everything he's asked and he's had a good camp. In other words, he's good to go

Matthew Thomas looking like he won't play. That's a massive loss for FSU.

Raekwon still hasn't practiced yet according to Saban this morning. That seems a bit odd to me if the wound was truly a "graze." Typically a "graze" is just a wound to the outside of the skin--no internal damage. Basically a large cut. If that's all it is, wouldn't they wrap him up and let him go? Seems like it may be more serious than a "graze" for him to miss multiple practice days. Heck, Deaderick had a bullet go through his leg and still played the next week.

Not trying to be insensitive, but if it's truly a graze-- they need to wrap Raekwon up, give him some pain meds and tell him to "man up." This is FSU we're opening with, not Kent State.

Pretty sure that's what is happening. Probably just wanna ease off it to make sure he doesn't have to miss the game.

Had to look it up. Apparently he is there best linebacker. Fischer has been playing it off as a cold then illness, but it appears to actually be an eligibility issue.

We recruited him in the 2013 class but CNS didn't think he was big enough. He loved Bama and might have committed if CNS gave him the green light, even with his mom wanting him to stay close to home.

So their best LB probably won't play?

Yes he probably won't play. Their D-line is still the issue with their front 7, though.

Y'all don't know who he is???

Alabama recruited him fairly hard, at least for a little while.

Out of HS he was the #2 OLB and #8 overall player in the country.

Last year he led FSU in tackles by 10 and had 11 TFL.

Kid is awesome, and at a position that FSU is meh at, against a team that is about to pound the shite out of them.

He hasn't practiced in over a month, and isn't even dressing now.

Well, Jacobs is out and Raekwon is either out or limited...so if Thomas doesn't play--we'll call it even.

Jacobs has little to do with our success and Davis is going to play, he isn't even a starter in Nickel.

I was being a little "tongue in cheek", but I do believe Jacobs is a special player and him being out is a loss. He's incredibly shifty and great catching it out of the backfield. Davis is a beast and likely the starter at DE. So they aren't insignificant pieces. That was my point. Thomas being out for FSU more than balances the injury factor.

With everything going on at his old high school, will Chirs Allen play this week?

Starter in base not in nickel which we play in 85-90% of the time.

SDH playing his first game after knee surgery, and James playing his first game after knee surgery.

James has had a lot more time to heal though.

Haven't seen anyone talking about it, but SDH in his first action off knee surgery is a concern IMO.

It's not unusual for a player to get back up to speed two seasons after a knee injury, especially if the injury was late in the season like it was for SDH.

This might make you feel better about SDH.
