Was he really a threat to leave?

Why would he get more snaps next year?

He will play more from the beginning of the year. This year I believe his snaps increased in the second half of the year.

Also another year of physical development and playbook development could get him in more situations other than passing downs.

Also Alabama is losing a lot of minutes on the Dline and there will simply be more playing time available.

I'd put good money on Williams playing significantly more downs next year presuming he stays healthy.

Really depends how he looks on run downs, if he can't set the edge or play in space, he'll be in a timeshare again.

Ryan Anderson should get a ton of work next year as Devall's replacement. Devall's dirty job setting the edge is a big part of this defense. Having superior rush abilities will let him stay on the field longer...

Exactly what I was saying if he can't stop the run he will be a situational player once again.
