I wonder if this means that Saban has told the QBs that the competition is completely open for next year? Can't imagine another reason why he'd stay since Milroe already said he's coming back.

After what happened the other day, Alabama has to keep the quarterback competition open. Milroe has a ceiling and Simpson is a very talented passer along with being a better athlete than some give him credit for.

I wouldn’t worry about that with Milroe. Look at it this way…if he’s not good enough to go pro after starting another year at Bama then he won’t be back again. He’ll be in the portal. That’s just reality.

If he came back and started in 2025 then that would likely mean that he did well in 2024 and we won something.

We’re going to have a ton of portal entries. It’s not shocking at all. Just how it is now.

The only two people that I don’t enjoy seeing on the list of portal players is Little and Ferguson. I think the coaches can talk Little into staying, and Ferguson needs to be replaced with a portal player. Let’s not forget that Devonta Smith is primed for some playing time in the secondary too…
