Last season he had a tough time, it felt like there was always a lot of penetration when he got the ball.

This season he's slicing defenses up.

36 carries for 327 yards (9.08 YPC) and 1 TD

He was the top rated RB in his class, he's in that Mark Ingram mold. Smaller body, can break tackles but isn't truly a power back, shifty, good vision, not quite homerun speed but fast enough with good burst.

Ingram won a Heisman.

I don't know that Harris is Heisman good, but he's on pace for a good season.

His carry numbers will probably go up, if I had to guess. He's only averaging 12 a game. Week 1 we were figuring QB out, week 2 we were getting Hurts a lot of reps passing, and now this past week he had 16 carries.

I'm not sure who the #2 will be. Hurts at QB will obviously carry the ball a lot, but as for the second RB, it seems like Jacobs is getting reps over Emmons. Scarbrough is having a really rough season, he's an athletic freak but he seems to just not have it. Maybe the knee injuries got to him?

Once his carries go up (though his YPC will go down), I think Harris will prove he's one of the best backs in the SEC.

Looks like he has a lot of potential to be really good. Very encouraging.

why are you upset with my opinion. Let's revisit this next year. take a chill pill dude."

Good vision, strong runner, reminds me a bit of Ingram in that he's got some speed but not breakaway speed. I'm very pleased with what he's doing. Clearly the guy back there now. Hurts as a run threat will only make his life easier.

He put on weight and muscle which seems to be a big part of the reason. But him and Hurts are the two big surprises to me. We knew about the others on O and D for the most part.

and I stand ready to eat my crow. But dude. I was not the only one saying I did not think he would be our lead back. He added muscle and weight.

You know this gives me license to revisit posts as well right.

Guy knows how to get YAC. Love his quickness and vision though. Guy finds open holes and utilizes his strengths to push the pile.

I really think he could be the workhorse back Alabama is looking for. That being said, Alabama has 3 other backs- including Bo despite some struggles- that are perfect to compliment Harris.

Oh lord, what have I done?

For real though, that's fine as long as it's not hostile. I love mrbroker and have no hostility toward him at all. Sometimes you come across a little hostile, that's all.

ETA: I also think it would be better and more interesting if you linked to threads or quoted people instead of just saying "I told all of you but no one would listen!"

Best back on the team, it appears. But he lacks top end speed and I'm concerned about his size if they were to use him as the feature back.

He should have gotten the ball more yesterday. They had their safeties back. He has good vision and hits the hole quick.

He doesn't really lack top end speed.

He got caught from behind by one of the fastest players in the country in Adoree Jackson and in yesterday's game he didn't really break away. He was breaking tackles all the way down the field on that long run.

I like him picking up 12 yards at a time better than him breaking long runs and putting our defense too quickly on the field.

I think he's just going to keep getting better as the line gels and everyone gets more comfortable with each other. I think he's already improved from game one in hitting the holes better. Got a quick burst and his vision is getting better.

I think once Emmons has some time, he's going to be explosive as a runner as well. I think he's got the fastest burst from zero to full speed than any of the backs from what little I've seen of him.

a lot of people wrote off harris way too early last year, I didn't get it.

- I think Jacobs must be the best guy in terms of pass protection given all snaps he saw.

i like harris. feel sorry that the dude hasnt made to the endzone on long runs, yet, stressing yet.

jacobs has me intrigued. i'm looking forward to him on a breakaway.

back during the bama/fl seccg. i had the pleasure of having a long conversation with a gentleman that had coached against bo scarborough during his img days. he was a fl fan but his dad had played ol for a powerhouse miami team. dude could not stop raving about bo. by nights end he had me jacked up about bo. unfortunately, i'm still waiting for this hype to materialize. but, not giving up on bo at all. hes just a sophomore after all.

I'm interested as to why people think that he isn't a bruising, every down type of back. Dude is stout.
