The way Brandon Miller was treated last season was BS.

This may seem random or a year late, but that has left an especially bad taste in my mouth about some other fan bases. Using a young mother’s death to attack an innocent 18 year old, there are certain fanbases that I already thought were classless, but I think no other situation has highlighted the deranged hate others have for Alabama like the Brandon Miller saga. I’m glad our fan base rallied around him and I’m sure he will never forget.

It made for big(ger) TV ratings unfortunately but you know what?

He’s balling in the NBA right now and up for rookie of the year. I thought he’d be a paint and 3 point merchant like he was at Alabama but they got all that Oats offense out of him. He is a great all around player in Charlotte. Who cares. Man is a baller and living his best life right now.

Nate Goats > shirtless little man

BM was always a great person and teammate. Never a doubt. Media is vile. Fans will fan.

AL.com's initial reporting was atrocious.

IIRC, the overall story had actually begun to quiet down when Carol Robinson decided to post an extremely poorly-worded "BM provided the gun" headline — implying that he was there and directly involved — and it suddenly took off like a rocket.

That one clickbait headline immediately started making the rounds, especially on twitter, and almost no one even bothered to read the story for context. Carol embarked on a media tour herself.

They went back later and quietly edited that story to remove the word "provided" in the headline and changed the article body to read that he was asked to bring it back, noting that Miller didn't know what was happening.

IMO to this day people still think BM was involved in the actual shooting because of Carol's unfortunate choice of words, and the circus that followed.

Robinson is an Auburn hack. She doesn't include that story in the list of her supposed great accomplishments. I cant find Goodmans initial article but from my memory his initial article said Miller went and retrieved the gun delivered it to Miles. That is not what happened. It is amazing how the press doesnt care about Miller now that he isnt playing for Alabama.

That wasn't poorly worded. That's what she intended to say.

This dude is a coward. He started blocking people on Twitter because there was a trend to post "In a world of Joseph Goodmans, be a Cecil Hurt." He still has me blocked.

Started trending after he started asking opposing teams in SEC about their schools gun policies. I seem to recall that at one point he even asked every white coach, (I think at the SEC tourney?) and for some reason didn't ask what I believe was the only black head coach at whatever event it was. I don't remember who that was and obviously am shaky on details at this point, but I do recall that happening.

State media was atrocious. AL.com should’ve been shut down for what they did.

Stopped listening to the Next Round after a decade because they continue to give Clay Travis a platform.

#1. You're mistaking tRant for real life.

#2. The situation was handled very poorly by Nate Oats and Greg Byrne. Miller should have been suspended immediately until it became clear what his involvement was in the incident.

The shooting happened after a game of not mistaken and we didn’t play for 3 or 4 days after that . I just wonder if the TPD told Oats that Miller and Bradley were cooperating with the investigation fully and were not suspects and that is why neither were suspended ?

Why is Joseph Goodman still allowed on campus he should
be barred for life? He has not apologized to Brandon
Miller or the University. In my opinion the pressure all
this controversy put on the team costs us a chance at a
National Championship.
