The first time we have played in the Sugar Bowl since 1993

Without it being a consolation prize. I don't count the 2012 BCS National Championship Game as that wasn't really the Sugar Bowl.

Hopefully we have a better showing of it then we did in 2009 and 2014.

FTR, the 1993 Sugar Bowl was officially the USF&G Sugar Bowl, so technically we didn't play in the Sugar Bowl then, either.

It does actually. We are playing in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. There is no other major bowl being played in New Orleans. In 2012, the Allstate Sugar Bowl was played between Michigan and Virginia Tech. Our game followed six days later and that was called the BCS National Championship Game.
