I know it was discussed on here when he got released, but it looks like charges have been brought now. Hate it for this guy.

Two counts of aggravated animal cruelty involving a dog described as a Presa Canario Mastiff. Those are both felonies and carry a maximum incarceration of three years.

Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving the same dog.

One count of illegal possession of an alligator.

Sounds like Cody isn't "responsible" enough to care for for another living being.

Some people want pets, but only on their time. NFL is a tough job, but you don't see this with every other player.

Negligence out of ignorance...

With all these ridiculous laws on the books why would anybody want to take on the responsibility of owning pets. No thanks.

Huh? It isn't that hard to take good care of a pet, unless you are lazy, or a pos.

frick him. Those Baltimore Sun comments from the first article must've been true. White I don't think it was malicious, but incredibly irresponsible.

What? It's pretty damn easy to take care of your pets.

So I guess Cody tried to feed the dog to the alligator?

If so, screw him.

If he would have fed the dog to the alligator all the cruelty charges would have vanished.

I don't know, he has a point. The government shouldn't have any say on whether I leave my dog outside all winter, in a backyard with so much shite, the neighbours have to call the city and complain. That's my right as an American. Free Cody!

If there is neglect or an attempt to be cruel, then the person responsible should absolutely be locked up. You also have the right to not own a pet. When you buy a pet, you take on the responsibility that it is a living being that is dependent on you for survival.

I caught an alligator in Dulac, LA once and kept it for 5 years. Very cool pet once you learn how to handle them.
