I am really disappointed in his performances. It must really suck to know that your legacy is that when the lights are on and the crowd's electric you are known for flubbing important kicks despite all the effort and practice. I'm not going to justify anyone's innuendo about psychological issues. Cade has left an ambivalent legacy at Alabama. He made that bed, not I.

Whatever, he gave his best effort.

That's really all that matters to me.

I'm stuck between the optimist that he had it in his power to achieve the goals he wanted, and the realist that he did what he did and can't change it now.

Thank-you good sir.
And also, I dont have any hate towards Cade, I just think this over the top we support you rah rah stuff is over the top. Im glad he is a senior, and the amount of money the state of Alabama put into that kid was wasted. My tax dollars paid for his education, his living, meals, tutors, healthcare including his psychiatric help he had to get after the LSU game of 11, and the current help he most certainly is getting now. No ill will his way, hope he has a great life, but as far as a fan is concerned, hes not my favorite player- landon collins is.

The people that are angry at Foster, or any one player are fricking sad and pathetic.

If we weren't in a position to lose the game because of missed FG's, we wouldn't have had everything riding on them. Even good players aren't going to make every play. It's not like he hasn't worked hard. It's not like he was fricking around. He just missed. Do you think he wasn't trying? Do you think it was lack of preparation? Do you think you could trot out there and do it? Even if you practiced for a year?

We lost. Act like an adult and move on.

Someone disagrees with you on the internet?
Better tell them they aren't good people, that'll show them.

Calm down. Everyone isn't going to agree with you.

It isnt that he disagrees with me, its that he is bitching that "his tax dollars" were wasted on Cade Foster.

If you cant see where I am coming from, then you suck too.

Those are personal attacks against someone on an internet message board, and I'm the pathetic one. All I said was Cade was brought here to kick field goals to win games and when the bright lights came on he shrunk up choked. I haven't said anything about him personally or attacked him personally, but when you are brought here to kick field goals and you miss them I'd say that's a bad investment. If nick saban choked in every big game he played in you would say he is a bad investment.

I just don't understand what is so wrong with showing support.

How can that possibly bother you guys?

Because people are totally overreacting. I mean who HONESTLY wants Saban fired after this loss? No one. This seems like a unnecessary PR move. Coach Saban and these players will move on from this loss. What, are we going to make a "we support so and so" page everytime we lose? This entire fanbase needs to calm down and move on.

It isn't necessary, and it seems contrived to me. Of course we all support nick and we support Cade when he's out there but people are acting like you can't be upset with the guy for constantly missing big time, game deciding kicks. Like I said I don't hate him or wish him any ill will, but I am mad he is a head case and cost us a championship.

Also I've been hearing rumors that Bama fans booed Cade either during or after the game. That did NOT happen. We always support our boys, whether we win or lose. Us Gumps may be a lot of things, but at least we're loyal to our school and team.

You didn't get the memo?
He missed several game deciding plays.

To keep his 'self esteem' up we need to give him handjobs and some puppies.

I've chastised the other side of the argument for personal attacks. Please keep disagreements civil. He didn't get nasty with his opinion and didn't bash the kid personally. Argue the points made, not the person.

I'll support Case Foster in every kick he attempts for the rest of his life, but I still reserve the right to be upset with him because he failed to do his job on multiple occasions Saturday.

I hope you're equally mad at Cyrus Jones; his failures lead to 14 Auburn points. He bit on a play action pass earlier in the game, but Marshall just barely missed his receiver.

While I agree that the death threats he recieved were over the top and uncalled for, that letter that girl wrote on her blog and this facebook group is completely unnecessary. Cade will be fine in the long run. Yes he will get a lot of shite the next few days, but people will move on with their lives.
One of my good friends, and roommate, at the time, was himself good friends with Ryan Pflugner. After the 2000 Orange Bowl, one of my buddies swore he was going to hide in the bushes outside our house and Shanghai Pflug when he came over .

A month later, everything was back to normal. People say stupid stuff in the heat of the moment and since that kind of shite plays into the rest of the country's favorite narrative about Alabama, it's sure to get coverage. Doesn't mean it's okay or right, but it is reality.

Kickers would never be put in those situation if every other part of the team did their job well (I'm looking at you, Kecalf Bailey, Cyrus Jones, Amari Cooper, Arie Kouandjio, etc.).

No, dumbass, they didn't. The Athletic Dept reimburses the University for all athletic scholarships. Just like coach salaries, no tax $$ is used for athletic scholarships.

Sorry. I just got really pissed when I heard people were sending him death threats. I know that those people werent you or anyone else in this thread. It just kind of got me heated up. I guess the older I get, the more I realize exactly how much pressure these guys are under. You are entitled to your opinion, and I respect that.

I still am of the opinion that support for our coach, school, players is never a bad thing.

I dont think anyone is making these groups because they are worried that Saban thinks that we want him fired. They just want to say "hey, we are here through whatever".

As for Cade, the group was created because multiple "Bama fans" threatened to murder him. I think that a student expressing her disdain of these people, and her support of him is a great thing. If people want to get on board with that, I am not sure how anything bad can come from that.
