So, I have a young man that is currently a sophomore that is getting some looks from D-1 schools. He plays at a smaller private school here in the Chattanooga area and he and I were looking at camps for this summer to attend. Does anyone have an idea of when the dates for these camps get posted or any early insight on when they may be? I don't want them to get full before I even find out about them. Thanks in advance.

I doubt they will get posted until the season is over. If you want to get him in front of recruiters also check out Mercers camp it's usually very early in the summer and is known as almost a combine like setting with tons of schools in attendance. It's a well attended recruiting event by both coaches and the scouts for 247 ON3 etc.

Which camp (which sport) are you interested in?

I'm sorry, should have been more specific. He is a football player. Doesn't have the best family life, and became best friend's with my nephew. Since then he has pretty much lived with my brothers family, and is essentially one of us now. The kid is super smart, very athletic, and honestly is just a solid young man. He has "it" but doesn't have a super huge platform. He also doesn't have the resources to get himself out there as needed.

I’ll be on the lookout and will definitely post if I see anything. It will probably be a while (thinking late spring) before anything is formally announced.
This is from this past summer - looks like there were camps throughout June and one in July.
The University of Alabama will host its one and only football camp of July on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide hosted 10 high school football camps in June (including OL/DL and special teams camp). The majority of talent on display this week will include a high number of underclassmen.
There are no camps listed at the moment but here’s the URL to follow: https://nicksabanfootballcamp.com. In the dropdown menu there’s a “contact us” - you might be able to request to be added to a distribution list to be notified when dates are set.

My son attended some camps there and we loved it. You keep busy even as a parent. He was able to stay in the dorms with other camp participants and had a good time. It's well worth it.
Whenever you're supposed to arrive for check in...get there early, very early. It will be packed.
