We just hired the 2023 AP Coach of the year and some of you pussys are talking “8-4 , can’t recruit, oh god T-Rob left”..

IT’s January.. cheer for the basketball team and stop giving yourself an ulcer worrying about what you think Deboer should do.. the man is 104-12.. we haven’t hired Mike Shula with no HC experience!

How dare you tell grown arse men not to publicly diarrhea all over themselves about hiring an award winning coach whose team finished 2nd in the country in just his 2nd year at the program

Some of these guys wanted to hire a guy that lost to him 2-3 times in a row in the past couple years and it’s their God given right to be upset about it

I guess some pussies discuss the hire in its entirety.

Other pussies create threads asking those pussies to quit talking about any potential bad aspects of this hire.

Lots of pussies around here, I guess.

Just wait until A-Day when the offense comes out like they did in the 2010 game. People were losing their shite inside BDS that day.

Offense sputtered pretty badly and people were melting inside the stadium.

We did land HaHa Clinton-Dix that day so it was a win.

It’s not about pumping sunshine. Let’s give the new coach an opportunity before we crap on him and where’s he’s from(north) and not crown him either as a continuation of the dynasty. Some of these negative comments though are based on speculation with no basis in fact. How he recruited at Fresno state and Washington have nothing to do with how he will recruit at Alabama. Also the players he targets will fit what he wants to do on offense and defense. Let’s see what he does.

I think there are lots of fair critiques and concerns you can have about Deboer, don’t get me wrong, but one guy on here flipped out less than 5 minutes into the press conference about how he didn’t “feel” like a good fit or was so opposite of Saban he couldn’t get behind him. LMAO, like wtf was that about. If you have logical reasons to dislike the guy, sure. But the emotional “doesn’t feel right” takes are cringe AF.

Exactly..

Or the “oh shite what if we go 8-4, or omg players are leaving “ .. it’s ridiculous what some people stress about!

If Byrnes had hired Jesus there would be some players leave.

I think everyone can agree on this. Whats annoying is several posters repeating the same doom and gloom talking points over and over...then going to SECrant to post it

Couldn't agree more. We live in a time where things are driven by hyper-analysation, but it doesn't have to be this way. It's a good hire by most measures, and yes there are some complicated tasks ahead of him, but let's just try and see what happens before panicking. Not good for anybody.

Critiques? What has he done to critique? He literally just landed here on a jet yesterday. Concerns? Sure I guess so

…I meant critiques as in, he’s not considered a great recruiter or defense not being his forte? This is based, of course, on actual information we know about him as a coach.

ETA: Just for context, I think Deboers is a hire worth being excited about and I can’t wait to see what he brings to the table.
