No it didn't.

Everyone watching the game here didn't understand how it could be so wet.

They have a shitty field. Spent so much on that trashy jumbotron and none on serious needs.

They soaked the field. Pretty bush league. Maybe that was their "little package"

Up until the groundskeeper turned off the nozzle.

I don't know if they soaked it but there was definitely something weird about it. It's a natural grass field...any of the players comment about the field conditions?

They probably ran the sprinklers all night. Would it really surprise you? Mickey mouse horse shite is all they have.

Def ran the sprinklers. Saw their players even slipping. They really are a trashy program. I mean seriously, who pulls that shite.

I though the grass looked a little thicker than normal as well. Not Notre Dame trying to beat USC in like 04 or 05 with the Bush Push thicker than normal. But still thick looking grass.

"You saw it," said Alabama running back Derrick Henry. "I was slipping. It was slippery out there but I just had to keep my head in there and make plays."

Henry still ran for a career-best 271 yards on 46 carries with a 25-yard touchdown to cap things off. He said he didn't change cleats at any point in the game.

An Auburn spokesman said the grounds crew last watered the field on Thursday.

Quarterback Jake Coker also made a few plays with his feet. The footing was an issue for him a few times too.

"It was a little slick ? slicker than normal, I guess," he said. "It was football. You just have to deal with it."

At least they didn't hose down our fans after the game.

So, okay the grounds crew hasn't watered the field since Thursday, but this certainly leaves open the possibility that somebody else watered it.

Also remember the ref taking a bad spill on that late hit out of bounds. Actually looked like he slipped on ice...it was real bad in spots.

Pretty trashy program to put kids in needless danger of injury.

He definitely slid because of the plastic that was on the sideline. Was not the field in the slightest.

Maybe so BUT you do not slip on plastic with DRY shoes like the ref did.

And your uniform doesn't look like this on a dry field either.
