Same person also tweeted that they aren't sure which school they're going to yet

I think we have a few guys that can make the NBA with a little coaching. Hale, Kessens, and Taylor could all make it..

Dude. Not trying to bash our players but those guys don't have a chance of making it to the NBA with Pop coaching them, especially Kessens.

BPN tweeted that CAJ wants Ingram to start at PG next year. If that's the case, I expect that Coleman is probably gone as well. This sucks...

I'm hoping it's more of coach speak to get a recruit than what he actually intends to happen.

I hope so too. I hope he worded it differently than it sounds though. Would be ironic (and terrible) if the guys that we lose after hiring a formerly established NBA vet PG are our PGs.

Seems like kind of a dumb move by Tarrant, but whatever, I guess.

Alabama's Statment

LINK

quote:

"I met with Ricky on Wednesday and shared with him that we wanted him back next season," Johnson said. "We told him it would be competitive but he would have the opportunity and we would help him get better so he can reach his goals. There were no gray areas and everything was crystal clear. He wanted to talk it over with his family and once he did that, he called back and asked us for his release yesterday, which we granted.

Agree. But then again, it's his life. He will never be an elite-type guy. NOLA.com has an ex-high school teammate mentioning Kennesaw State. Which is waaaaay further down the line.

Pretty bad reporting by NOLA.com.. Just look at the guys next tweet and you'll see they're trying to go somewhere together.. He's not saying Tarrant is joining him at KSU

Hate to hear about Ricky... However with how Retin played at the end of the season and with JCole seeming to be the future (and with Dazon appearing to stick with us) not overly surprising.

My fantasy reasoning- he knows Malik is coming

Yeah, if I'm RT I'd want to stick around just to see what happens. Hopefully he already has his degree. (I assume he does or he wouldn't be able to transfer right?)

I'd be fine with a rebuilding year next year as long as the guys are competing and improving. In other words I wouldn't mind playing our younger guys to help them develop. I don't want to see us take a chance on a kid to fill a roster spot at a position of need.

Don't know what Tarrant is thinking. He isn't going to find a better school or coach. His decision though.
