Ironically enough, I think this was the best match-up Bama could have gotten.

I agree, and I also think Washington was the worst match up for Texas.

This is starting to feel very team of destiny like. giggidy

That we're going to get to see some hilarious tantrums from Harbaugh while we're being the shite out of them.

We play to the level of our opponent. Just about every big game this year. I don’t see that changing this season.

This team almost needs to dig a hole before they wake up. Michigan is a very solid team, and they’ve got a chip on their shoulder.

Harbaugh knows it’s now or never. He’s gonna pour all his Aspergers into this game prep. Probably canceling his family Christmas.

And say what you want about him and the big10, Harbaughs squads play hardnosed disciplined football.

This is gonna be an Ali-Foreman heavyweight bout.

With what we've seen in the past with Notre Dame, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Georgia with Michigan, etc., it's hard not to imagine we run all over them. They tend to not have the size and the athleticism to compete with us

Don't underestimate Michigan as far as size and most part talent. Harbaugh knows how to identify NFL size and talent.

I don't think UM has the pass rushers they had with Hutchison and his group so they are more of a run stop, keep everything in front of them type team. Jalen's legs are going to be super important. He has to run and not turn the ball over.

Offense, they go as Corum goes. If we can stop the run, it will be hard for McCarthy to make enough plays to beat us. We will have to watch for the PIs.

They have a bunch of elite performances relative to the competition played. I don’t think they are a mirage at all

Defense, if ever Milroe was going to gash somebody with the read option, this is the team. The last time they saw anything close to actual team speed, TCU gave them 50 and they couldn't get Max Duggan on the ground. LBs are bulky. Secondary is the weakest unit. We'll be able to get Bond and Burton behind them.

They'll need the game plan of a lifetime just to keep it close and even then, I don't see it.

And I hope we win by one point if it only means no injuries for the title matchup.

Here's my rundown on them:

Have lost 6 straight bowl games.

Have given up at least 34 in 4 straight bowl games (all losses).

Have not beaten a top 10 team in a bowl since the 1997 season.

JJ McCarthy has thrown 1 TD in his last 5 games.

Michigan has played 13 teams. Their combined record is 77-74.

The average ranking for their opponent's offense as measured in yards per play is 93rd.

The average ranking for their opponent's scoring per game is 86th.

The best offense they have played was either Penn State or Ohio State. Penn State is 81st in yards per play and Ohio State is 18th. After that you have UNLV as the best offense they've faced.

7 of Michigan's 13 opponents are ranked 105th or worse in points per game and yards per play. Alabama has one opponent that's outside the top 100 in points per game (Miss State) or yards per play (Auburn).

The median offense they have played would be Nebraska. Half the teams they've played have better offenses, and half are worse, but that's the median. Nebraska! Alabama's median offense would be Tennessee.

So yes, Michigan has the #1 scoring defense. Alabama is 17th. Alabama has played several good offenses, Michigan has played zero.

So it looks to me like Michigan is in for a rude awakening.

Michigan is good because for the most part they don't beat themselves. They are disciplined and they don't turn the ball over. Their defense is good and is going to make you work.

If Bama plays a clean game, Bama wins. If Bama turns it over a couple times, it's going to be difficult.

I have done zero film study on Michigan so mytakes are not supported by anything other than a little I have seen in game action on TV.

D-line - strong and good with their hands. Built to stop Wisconsintype of run game. Our guards should match up well with them. I suspect we will attempt to run DUO on any interior run game. Our best run option will be to run and bounce to the edge with 26. Read potion with Milroe may work well with him going outside the tackles after good inside fake to the RB.

LB - strong against inside run game. May be susecptible to QB counter with HB lead. Getting our run game to attack the edge will pull their safeties down for run support.

CB's look to be pretty good. Get them running and throw comeback routes.

Safeties - look to be pretty fast. We need to set alignments and motions to keep them out of 2 deep. Get them biting on run support, have the slot WR's block them then fake a block and slip deep for a got'cha strike in the 2nd qtr.

Use play action passing after establishing edge run game. Deep over routes by 17 and 3 may work well.

Their DL pushes the pocket pretty well. Edge rush does not worry me that much. LB do not appear to be great in pass coverage so RB flares, TE quick outs and middle crossing game may work if Milroe is "ON" with the short to mid range passing.

They are a fraud. They are the 14th most talented team based on recruiting.

They are a lumbering, stumbling, cold weather throwback of a team and their confidence is built on good old fashion Big 10 dilusion.

The line went to point .5 and is now back up to 1.5 so save your quarters cause it looks like we may get Bama at even up or better, which is a bargain basement blowout sale.

Yeah, I'm struggling with what I see from their stats. They've beaten truly awful offenses this year. Sure they beat Ohio St, but that just doesn't move the needle that much. Then looking at the defenses they've faced, statistically they are far better on paper than what Bama as faced. It doesn't add up. We get healthy, prepare as only Nick Saban prepares and we destroy them and Jimmy runs back to the NFL.

Watching B1G championship game, Iowa gifted Michigan 10 points on fumbled pass attempts. Should have been 10-0 type game. They are very basic on offense.

We cannot cover AD Mitchell. He's killed us for 3 straight games. Hopefully we figure that out lol

We were ranked 4th in the BCS when we played them in the 2000 Orange Bowl.

He only had 1 catch for 8 yards in the 2021 SECCG
2 catches for 50 yards and 1 TD in the 2021 NC
3 catches for 78 yards and 2 TDs in the game this season

so yeah, we need to do better if we play them again

Michigan is the same team that got beat by TCU last year. Maybe slightly worse than last year’s team. Helmet communications are allowed in bowl games so sign stealing isn’t a problem. Bama by 17
