Dude has about 3 inches and 20 pounds on Julio Jones and knows how to block on the LoS, so I don't see why not

When he was coming out of high school he had measurables very similar to DGB and plenty of speed so I wondered the same thing. But we've invested 3 years into developing him as a TE and we need him much more at TE (thin position) than WR (very deep)

Probably where he'll end up in the league, anyway.

Of course not. Having a guy like that lined up at TE where linebackers and safeties have to cover him in space is a huge advantage.

ah, is it already the time of year where we start second guessing the coaching staff?

Or we should second guess OJ. Receivers who disappear for long periods of time usually aren't open.

Nah, we're very deep at WR.

He isn't a WR. He doesn't have God enough fluidity in and out of his cuts to get open consistently against corners. He is a matchup nightmare at the next level at TE if he can further develop those hands some more.

He's very Graham-ish .... te's are always open and he was never utilized which makes you wonder .

That was my thought. If he is a WR vs Clemson, he isn't that wide open for touchdowns. Having him in the role of TE is extremely valuable.

I think it has to do with the fact Bama has not had any QB's capable, or trusted to consistently throw the seam route. Maybe ? IDK, thats all I got.

Not a good route runner, often have to scheme him open at TE.

Leave him be...

That's something that can definitely be improved with hard work. He decided to come back for another year; hope he makes the most of it. If he can work himself into a good route runner, he has the potential to be a high draft pick

I agree, you get what you put in. The natural talent is there, but not everything can or should be blamed on the scheme.

If everything comes together, he could be in for a big pay day...

Wasn't a corner supposed to be on him for at least one of those touchdowns? They were both just busted coverage.

I'm so glad he goes by OJ. I don't think I could scream O'Terrius and sound as mad as I do when I scream OJ.
