Scout has been bought out by 247!

Just read that 247 has bought out Scout. Not good news,IMO.Scout has the original Alabama sports site BamaMag with Kirk McNair. Hope its not end for them. I still enjoy BamaMag even though most of the better posters have dispersed. Mergers not good for fans.

BAMA Mag really went downhill 8 or 9 years ago.

Tider Insider is awful. The forums are littered with hall monitors, trolls, and know-it-alls. Rodney has done nothing to upgrade TI and he does a horrible job keeping the forum in line. That site will die out in 20 years because the average age has to be 50.

True but Bamamag also has a lot of "seniors" posting there and that's ok. At 42 I am one of the youngest there. Kirk and company will survive under new leadership.

Speaking of TideSports, that site has completely died. No one even posts there anymore. I remember when it first became free, a lot of people signed up and it looked like it was gonna become a good forum. But then every time I would post a question trying to get a conversation going, I'd either be ignored, or someone would respond with some smart comment. No wonder that site is dead. The only person on there I enjoy talking to and reading his posts is Cecil.

Tidesports was the GOAT. Shame once I got into posting on message boards, Tidesports went away.

I was at TI for about 17 years, and Rodney does a good job on the football board, but his brother Dalton is a shitty mod on The Quad forum. Other than The Gooler, The Quad forum is the most racist board I've ever been on and Dalton allows it to continue. I finally had a bait of it for good, though, when it became pretty much all politics all the time. I'm sure Val and Mackey are arguing with Casino Exec night and day about Trump.

I do t remember exactly. I'm sure it some derivative of my current user name. MR Mojo Risin is something close to it. I was a once a week type poster unless CAD got on my nerves, but Otherwise mostly lurked.
My fondest memory was when somebody tried to create an SEC sports forum (before the rant) and wanted to overmoderate it. Several of went over and caused some touble resulting in a bunch of whining from the sites moderators including a baseless threat to sue a bunch of woolly posters. Good times.

That means Scout was bought by CBS, because CBS bought 247 a while back.
