We see now why B-rob is ahead of him on the depth chart.

You breathe on him and he goes down.

On another note, Najee appears slimmer and much quicker than last year.

Perhaps.

Not flaming the kid but he had a big chance to shine and he didn't.

That may be the weakest defense he'll see all year and he laid an egg.

It's his first college action after year ending injury, give the guy a little slack.

Najee is a Heisman quality RB.

Well In fairness he didn’t have the 1st team OL blocking for him.

Reminds me of when Harris would get in as a FR. D knew it was likely a run and all the LBs ran downhill at the snap.

Also, he does have to run less timid. Run like your hair is on fire and the end zone is water man

Ya, with missing all last year and the injury - I think him finding his groove in the middle of the season is the best we can expect. After a knee injury, it takes a lot of players a while to get confidence back and to just react and play - we will see how he improves in the next few weeks.

I can’t blame Sanders until I see him run with the first team. My gosh

Can’t really judge the kid if he never really had a chance to impress.

I remember quite a few who weren't too impressed with Henry and Najee when they first saw action for Alabama

Sanders will be fine.

Not many nfl backs would have success behind that 2nd string O-line...would like to have seen him get a series or 2 with the first string

No no no. Hold your judgement on Sanders. That was as piss poor of blocking as I’ve seen since Mike Shula was there from our second group. They were getting moved off the ball. I’ve got no opinion in on sanders tonight. Highly disappointed in the backup OL. Quite a few highly rated guys there that got their shite pushed in. It’s normal to want to blame the game situation, but these kids were in there as backups with something to prove. It was laughably bad. Run or pass, they got mauled. We are in deep shite if God forbid we lose more than 1 up front anytime soon. There is a lot of improvement to be done

Getting carries running east-west with the 2nd team OL didn't help him. You run most RBs that way and they don't look good either.

Mizzou has a couple good LBs and and some fast safeties that thump when they get there.

I said this in one of the game threads and will repeat it here. Tonight was Trey's first real game experience in almost 2 years. Combine that and the 2nd string OL's inability to block a wet fart he wasn't going to be getting much.

How about those who are dogging the kid pump the brakes a little and lets see what he can do when he has our 1st string blocking for him and a full playbook available to him.
