Blake Sims
Jake Coker
Cooper Bateman
Blake Barnett
Jalen Hurts
Tua
Mac Jones
Bryce Young
Jalen Milroe
Ty Buchner

I think that's everyone.

Can't really include Milroe yet because he could start next season and move up or down depending on how it goes.

Buchner, Bateman, and Barnett should be left off any lists, clearly.

1) AJ
2) Tua
3) Mac Jones
4) Jake Coker
5) Bryce Young (championships matter)
6) Hurts (championships matter)
7) GMac (has a natty and played a good role...but more like Jay Barker)
8) Blake Sims (low on my list, but one of my favorites, because it came out of nowhere)
9) Milroe* (work in progress)

Don't belong in the conversation:
Cooper Bateman
Blake Barnett
Ty Buchner

If we are talking about leading a team, distributing the ball, protecting the ball, and making all the correct pre and post snap reads, and simply having the ability to WIN football games- you know like what a QB is supposed to be... I'd go:

1. AJ Nearly went 2 solid years without a turnover. Executed everything the way he was told to. Didn't do too much, just distributed and protected the ball. All he ever did was win.

2. Mac orchestrated the single greatest Bama offense I've ever witnessed. It was beautiful, and he was simply perfect. If he plays as long as AJ he probably finishes at No.1 ahead of AJ,... but he didn't

3. Tua Had more arm talent than the previous two put together, but had a lot of hero ball problems, and thus injuries and turnovers. Was clearly the most "talented" QB ever at Bama- EVER But,... he only won 1 title.

4. Bryce Man what this guy could have done with the 16,17,18 teams- Bryce more than any other player was a victim of place and time. He could have very well left UA as the most winningest QB ever, and rivaled AJ for titles if he had a supporting cast,... but he didn't

5A. Hurts way up there on the "talent" scale, but didn't materialize until after his departure from UA. One of the better character guys on the entire list, and absolutely saved our arse in the SECCG when Tua was injured.

5B. Coker blue collar, grit, tough as nails, won a title.

5C. Blake Sims A lot of this belongs to Kiffin, but had an incredible season.

6. McElroy highly cerebral but severely limited athletically. Did his job. Won a title which goes a long way no matter what anybody says.

1 Tua - when healthy he was the perfect fit for our offense.

2 Mac Jones - an absolute dude.

3 Bryce Young - best we've had with off script plays. We go unbeaten with him this year.

4 AJ - Accurate and a winner but I think the 3 I have listed above could have won even more if they were on those 2011, 2012 teams.

5 Jake Coker - tough as nails and a big arm.

6 Blake Sims - Very good player. Great story.

7 Jalen Hurts - this will be the controversial pick. If we had Hurts now or even Hurts from 2018 then he'd be top 3 but when he was the starter here he struggled.

8 Jalen Milroe - He could go up or down depending on next year. Talented but still raw as hell.

9 Greg McElroy

10 JP Wilson

Buchner and Bateman shouldn't be ranked.

We’ve had an incredible run of talent at QB under Saban.
It would’ve been nice to see Bryce Young under any OC not named BoB.
Would have been fun watching him under Kiffen or sark as oc.

1. Jones
2. Tagovailoa (would be one if not for injuries limiting what he could do)
3. Young (would likely be one if not for BoB)
4. McCarron
5. Coker
6. Hurts
7. McElroy
8. Sims
9. Wilson
10. Milroe

1. Tua
2. Mac
3. BY
4. AJ
-I would take any of the above at any given time-

5. Coker
6. McElroy (limited, but predictably reliable)
7. Hurts
8. Sims

-would not play if any of the above were available-
9. Bateman (Explanation- I think if you put Bateman on 2008 or this year's team, we see better offensive production than either got)
10. JPW
11. Milroe
12. Barnett
13. Buchner

AJ - I think he was the ultimate leader.
Mac - Similar to AJ. I don't know that I've seen a better deep ball passer
Tua - electric. Highs were SO high but had lows that I think were avoidable
Bryce - if he stayed this year. He is a natty winner. Arguably the brightest football mind in the group
Coker - not as polished as the above but..I just liked the dude
Hurts - same as Jake
Simms - was fun to watch. That Kiffen system was his savior though
JPW - I still remember that pick six against MSU.

Can't rank Milroe. Too fresh. If he turns into a passer relative to any of the top 5... Then he could be up there but with the ones up there...AJ..Mac, Tua.. Bryce: The entire field..flats, slants, middle, deep, side/outs all of was an area that the opponents had to worry about. Not so right now with Milroe but if that coverage ability develops with his running ability. Its over

I think Bama would have beaten Michigan with either McElroy or Wilson at qb.
