The word "film" hangs around though nobody actually uses film. My questions:

1. How does a team acquire video of an opponent?

2. Is it formatted to certain specs to accommodate the 'clicker."

3. Who shoots it?

4. Is it from several different angles?

Thanks.

It's an NCAA requirement for home teams to provide their game tape to other teams after the game. It's usually end zone angle and wide angle sideline. The taping arrangements vary as far as who shoots it.

The clicker is built into the projector, no special format for that as far as I know but I'm no A/V tech

These types of words and phrases are in every walk of life. Most pubs aren't really publish houses anymore. I also say hey "did u tape it" in reference to DVR. I think u even used tape in the OP and I doubt that they are using a VCR to watch "tape."

Of course; no squabble about that.

end zone angle

It's much, much easier to see route trees, alignments, and coverage types from this angle.

I actually enjoy sitting in the end zone on occasion because of it.

"I'll hang up and listen"

Not sure my kids have ever "hung up" a phone.

I still ask my wife to tape games for me if I'm not home from work when they start. Old habits...

Not exactly about film per-se, but if you ever wondered about all the detail that goes into game planning, this article is awesome.
