i'll have to go with not all domestic violence cases are the same. plenty of arguments with even the remotest physical contact could go down as a DV. i've witnessed a female attack her guy and watched him go to jail because he pushed her away in defense and she tripped over something. judging purely on a police report gives us no idea of what led up to a situation or truly what transpired.

I think it's the marks on the neck that do it for me. How else could they have gotten there?

And to stat, it's altogether possible I could have missed your point. Just tired of seeing people defend some coward because he plays for Alabama now.

No doubt. There are many different levels of severity. And it's possible, though seemingly unlikely, that the police report paints a vastly different picture than what actually happened. Which is why we should have waited until the legal situation played out before admitting him. If he chose instead to enroll somewhere else rather than waiting on Bama, so be it. Pretty telling to me that Cecil Hurt would retweet the following:
@SethEmerson: Not really understanding what Alabama's doing here, given the national climate, and the fact Taylor's case is still pending.

Where did you see a picture of her injuries? Not a fan of this.

It was in the police report. I didn't see pictures, but that is how the officer described the injuries on her body.

30for30 - Alabama: Did you know, there once was a school that gave any thug a second chance? ... that rode domestic violence to a record setting 3 straight national titles? ...

this decision sucks, regardless of what saban and the prez "know" about the situation ...

Gotcha. I didn't think a picture would be out there.

It shows an astounding lack of judgement and looks completely tone deaf in light of the issues going on in the NFL

Just an absolutely horrible decision to make. I am really pissed about this.

I'm not happy about it, but what the hell can I do? I try to not worry about things that are out of my control.

ETA: and who the frick cares what other people on the rant think.

Yeah, I can't imagine actually being angry about this. It is what it is.

Very, very true. Coming from someone that has arrested the guy, the girl, and both many many times over.

This exact thing happened to me. In my case, she even pulled a large kitchen knife on me. She had "scratches and bruises" from where she hurt herself that I was supposed to have inflicted. The system is stacked against guys in these cases. Luckily for me, the girl who attacked me had a prior record that had been expunged and when my lawyer requested those records be allowed to be entered as character evidence she dropped the charges. It also helped that her mother witnessed the event and refused to testify for either of us (which looked good for me) but luckily I didn't have to find out if that would have had an effect.

Truly, guys have no power in these situations. For some reason the woman's word carries more weight in court than the man's does.

I'm not saying this guy did or didn't do this but it is hard for me to trust just the word of a female in these situations.

Is the team as desperate as this makes it appear?

I'm not defending JT. I'm simply telling you that a mob rule mindset is a damaging as the crime itself. A nation of laws must follow those laws or succumb to the lawless anarchy of the mob.

The team isn't desperate at all. This is Saban wanting to change a talented kid's path in life for the better.
