Is there any indication from practice reports this week that the team is focused on the task at hand?

The media is really fricking everything up with this "unstoppable" and "Nick Saban's best team ever" talk.

One more thing I'll note on here, we can't rely on the defense to score TDs in order to win this game. I'm sure most understand that. Some think though it has to happen for Bama to win.

We need to get Bo and Damien in open space matched up against their DBs. A&M does look to be fast laterally though.

Ut lost to them in OT after 7 TO's. I think UT ran all over them. I think NS has their attention. Lose this game and they dont control their own destiny

concerned I am. Jalen Hurts and our offense cannot afford to come out uninspired and flat. The heisman talk and how great we are bothers me.

I am most worried about Hurts and his turnovers especially with Garrett on the other side.

I have absolutely zero concern about this...especially on defense. Eddie, Jonathan, Tim, Ryan...these guys are going to take care of business and make sure everyone else does also.

I just hope Lane doesn't try to get cute with the offense. Run the ball and control the clock, let the d stay fresh.

Contrary to popular belief, this hasn't been a problem all year. Alabama is averaging 290 yards rushing against P5 opponents this season and have rushed for 240 or more yards in 4 of those 5 games. Last year, for the entire season Bama averaged 204 yards rushing per game against P5 teams - and that was with a Heisman trophy winner.

Did you not watch the Tennessee game last week?

Or the Ole Miss game?

Bama is gashing both of those teams with the run game in the first half and Lane just wants to pass.

We run with success -->

The opposing D makes adjustments, usually something along the lines of "stacking the box" -->

This makes it more difficult to run -->

We counter by trying to pass more -->

and so on and so forth

Tennessee or Ole Miss didn't adjust in the 2nd half, Bama gashed them both in the 2nd half.

No one has stopped Bama's rushing attack this year, but Lane Kiffin.

Ryan Fowler said earlier in the week on his show that most of the players were talking more about some of the mistakes they made vs Tennessee that could have been crucial.

I don't think they're buying into the hype. If they are, then they need to look at the Ole Miss game and see how quickly things can change if you don't play sound.

+1000

How about our first sustained drive vs UT last week? I think we had Harris run to the right twice, each run got about 11 yards. Then Jacobs ran it next to the right for about 10 yds, then the 4th play was a run to the right, handoff reverse to Stewart for about 15-20 yards...... That's what I want to see.

Dude when you get blindsided because your LT whiffed you can't really blame the qb.
