AH, my bad. Didn't see it.

Not a big IPA fan honestly. Don't like the whole "hoppy" taste. Trend towards more of a wheat taste

Love having a Hop City here too

Hop City is awesome. Visit it just about every time I go to bhm. Loosa Brews is like Ttown's version of Hop City.

I've been to Band of Brothers a bunch. The owners are really cool guys. Only downside is only 3 beers right now but they're planning on adding more. They have live music several nights a week as well as random activities like yoga and a wet beard contest.

I've had Druid City's porter at their taproom and I wasn't impressed

I think it's the best beer they make. The IPA a close second.

I agree. I think the Downtown North Porter is fantastic. I could drink that and the Lamplighter IPA all the time.

Just an update.

I went to Band of Brothers. Tasted the saison and the white IPA and I left impressed.

I also went back to Druid City and I got a way different experience than the first time. The Northporter was outstanding. I misread the hell out of that place

Nice setup, terrible beer.

They only had 3 selections when I went and they all were flat.

Even if you think Black Warrior is bad, at least they have about 10 different beers on tap at a time and you can find something you like.

Druid City is dreadful and they need to change locations.

New Sweetwater? Goin' Coastal?

I've heard good things about it, I've been dying to try it.

Tonight I'm trying Southern Tier Choklat and Stone Pale Ale. Both decent.

I had Goin Coastal a couple nights ago at the Alcove in TTown. In general I'm not a big fan of fruit flavored beers or IPAs but it was pretty good. Of course it was also my 5th beer of the evening which tends to affect my pallet

I see a lot of people rag on Black Warrior Brewing. Obviously I don't live in Tuscaloosa anymore, and have only visit BWB once, but I enjoyed it. I'd like to think I have a decent pallet for good craft beer. I've really gotten in to the scene here in Little Rock (who has about a dozen of them now).

I have enjoyed Black warrior each time I have been there. I just don't think that they have an exceptional beer that sets them apart.

They remind me of Avondale brewing in that regard

Avondale serves hotdog water.

Good to hear. They have the most unique taproom I've been to. But I like the laid back atmosphere of it. Almost like I'm hanging out at someone's house. Helps that I really like their beers. Hope to get by there tomorrow while I'm in town for graduation.

BoB usually has 4 choices now. It's a great spot, but yeah their selection is lacking

Voodoo Mild - Always solid brown ale
White Widow IPA - It's pretty new I haven't had it yet
Monk on the Radio - Strong Belgian Ale (8%) - This can be a fantastic beer, but their quality control sucks. Some batches it's amazing some batches it's skunked, and from what I've seen they still push it out when they skunk a batch or they'll cross it with the Voodoo Mild for "Cross Polination"
Saison - I think it's a grapefruit Saison, I like some Saisons but not this one.

They have a lot of live music and the crowd can be very different from a Tuesday to a Saturday which I like. It's worth checking out for sure.

Druid City's porter is unlike others. The ones I've drank usually hAve a low alcohol level. Druid City's is close to 10% I believe.

Since we are on the verge of Summer and folks are traveling, do yourselves a favor and try to hit Straight to Ale in Huntsville or Fairhope brewery down south. The coming brewery district in Huntsville will be legit. Straight to Ale and others all together.

I went to Blue Pants a year or two back. It was fun, but like you said, I suppose they are all moving to a specific district. I love Straight to Ale beer, but I've never been to the brewery. I used to drink Monkeynaut all the time, but I burned myself out on it. I still love Lilly Flagg Milk Stout. One of the tastiest beers out there.

If you get to their brewery try their Russian Imperial Stout. If they have it aged in Cognac barrels....make sure you have an accountability partner with you. Had it at their beer and bacon festival a while back. Pretty sure a quarter of the barrel was still full of cognac but holy hell it was good.
