The Cochran videos are getting a little excessive. It was fun at one point but now they're playing them after every down at full blast. I'm not a "Down in front" kind of fan but that crap is getting annoying.

I will agree love the guy but cutting them in half would be a good start.

Cutting them period would be ok with me

Hearing them on tv is annoying. That combined with that commentator duo yesterday nearly made it unwatchable.

I'm not a misogynist, but I don't ever want a woman calling an Alabama football game again.

I don't really care if a woman calls the game, but just get a woman that will act like a woman. Not one that's trying her best to act like a man

the only thing I can think is the players are so ingrained in his voice and being one of motivation they will play it often.

I heard them playing "Hey Ya" and thanked God I wasn't there in person.

Yeah, Bryant-Denny needs to update their playlist.

Yesterday was probably the least fun I've had at Bryant-Denny. Started before kickoff when a white guy and black girl a couple seats down got in a huge verbal altercation because the latter refused to stand for the national anthem and was actively trying to disrupt it by yelling. This ended with the black girl yelling about how much she hates white people. Then I also noticed that the Cochran stuff was excessive and the quality of play was frustrating all game long. Of course the heat was to be expected (sun was just blasting the student section all game), but I was surprised at how dead the student section felt. It was probably half empty for the second half.

I've been critical of the student section in the past but it was hot yesterday so I'll lay off.

The Cochran stuff was excessive but the music over the PA seemed to my ears to be louder and more excessive than usual. Again, I'm not some old curmudgeon but the Million Dollar Band (who I've also been critical of) might as well had not even shown up.

I wish they would stop scheduling inferior opponents. The only winner on Saturday was Western KY because they get a nice payday and those guys get to play on national TV. These games never benefit Bama. No one wants to pay money to watch an unmotivated Bama team scrimmage.

Let's have a 9 team conference schedule with 2 bye weeks and 2 P5 games.

We may not like it, but games like this are essential for the team. Western Kentucky has a good chance of winning their conference again this year. The Chattanooga game I have beef with, this one I don't. We get our young guys a chance to get their feet wet while the game isn't on the line. If they're thrust into action down the road due to injuries or whatever, it's not their first rodeo. These games are a necessary evil and benefit the health of the program in the long run because we're able to play a lot of the young guys. They get in and make mistakes, and now they have tangible game film to improve on. This idea of playing 12 power 5 opponents needs to die, particularly when that team we played Saturday is better than 4 or 5 teams in our own league and runs a similar offense to our next opponent

Some of y'all act like these rent-a-win games are a new thing. We've been playing them for years, though with the 12 game schedule there is an added one each year.

And I definitely agree the early season ones are fine, and serve a purpose. Especially this year with a true freshman starting at QB. The one before the Auburn game every year is dumb.

Don't go or don't watch at home if they bother you that much.

Agree - Western Kentucky is a fine game. It should be our worst game. 2 P5 teams and a good mid major (and 9 SEC games).

You mean like this thread full of complaining, LOL. These games are totally essential for any team to work on live game situations where you cant do this when the team is together. It also helps you prepare for other meaningful opponents.
