Just rewatched the A-Day game. Blake Barnett had the best day passing and making big plays. Hurts had some good runs but is just too young and his first reaction is to leave the pocket. Cornwell had one good deep ball. That's it. Bateman had some good passes 20 yards and in. Very bland, but went against first team defense.

My rank:

Barnett
Bateman
Hurts
Cornwell

I agree with that order. That's the order I would use them. Here's what I think Saban will do tho. He'll get the best 2 (likely Barnett and Bateman) and let them take turns in game one and then I think we'll find out who's the starter the next game.

I think he will have to start someone until the USC game is in the bag. If it stays close the whole game, I think we stay with continuity with one QB. Then week 2 we go to the 2 QB system until someone wins it. I just hope Barnett doesn't throw interceptions, makes good decisions, and wins the team before the season, so we can just focus on what we need to actually focus on.

I'm team Barnett, but I think Bateman starts. I would like to see Barnett come in and win the team over though. I'm hoping he is one of those guys that plays better than he practices

I think Barnett wins it.

I'm sure I'll get grief for this, but I think Cornwell wins the job.

If Bateman fails, I am on the Hurts bandwagon.

In all honesty. We do not need to see if Bateman fails. We need to go into all 15 games with the same mentality.

If Saban's proven anything in his previous 9 seasons, it is that he'll take the best leader and put him in a position to do whatever he does best.

I'd be interested to hear your reasoning behind this.

Is there any chance it could be Hurts?

I seriously doubt it. Only chance it's hurts is if Cornwell transfers, Bateman gets the yips, Barnett tears his ACL
