dont know that hes ever coached OLBs before. he was a really good d line coach at Cal. I think he would be an upgrade in coaching from thompson, and at least a wash on recruiting. i think its a solid move if true. We just really need to get the best possible DB coach available, from wherever. pay what it takes to steal akina from stanford, get an nfl guy or something. the back end has got to get fixed quick.

When he's recruiting for Saban, he can recruit like hell. When recruiting against him, not so much.

Anyone remember Sal Sunseri saying he had to coach the Thompson out of the linebackers? A few on BOL were recalling that quote, but I don't remember it.

Think we will be ok.....we did well when he went to UT. Still hurts to lose a great recruiter. ...especially to a rival

It was so weird hearing the philosophical differences they had at OLB when Sal took over. Sal seems like an upfront no fricks given type of guy, wouldn't doubt he said it.

Lost a great recruiter, Bama's Mobile and DC guy, but he's replaceable as a coach on the field.

Getting the crew back together doesn't look like it worked save Davis, hopefully this showed safe =/= better.

Mobile I'd easy to replace nowadays. It's not like when Shula forgot Mobile was part of the state.

Bobby Williams must give the sweetest head in the south. I'm glad Saban is loyal to his guys, but there's such a thing as loyal to a fault.

I work in the construction industry, where a day doesn't go by where I don't hear a bj joke. But there really isn't a rational explanation about Bobby Williams. Forget the actual kicking, our kickoff coverage is terrible. Punt coverage is great, but tarts because of Scott, but Williams.

The man appears to have some issues. Would be interesting to know the full skinny on him.

That's what I was getting at - just what a soup sandwich he is.
