Iowa State beat Minnesota by 25 in their scrimmage so that has me a bit scared about our game with them.

If Iowa St has a pulse... Then I am worried about them.

Iowa St can score 80-90 points in a game with ease. So I was scared of them regardless of their scrimmage I don't know how it'll be possible for us to keep up with them.

I was hoping they might take a step back without Kane and Niang coming back from his injury but that doesn't look to be the case

I'm curious how we will approach that game. Will we play to our slowest pace or try and run with them?

@GoodmanESPN: NC State and Georgia played a close one in a secret scrimmage over weekend. Two best players were Trevor Lacey & Georgia frosh Yante Maten.

Was it just me or did Lacey never seem like he wanted to play here? Even when he committed to us it seemed like he was reluctant to announce it. I wish he would've REALLY committed to Alabama instead of just half-assing it. The skill was there, he was just lazy as hell.

He never seemed all that happy on the court.

A GT site is saying they beat us by 28...

I heard that 3 of our players were out with injury for the scrimmage. Going to assume Retin and Kessens were 2 of them.

ETA: Also heard they played 4 10 minute periods. So who knows how accurate that score is

If Kessens can't get/stay healthy, we are screwed before the season even starts.

A site said this or a fan from a GT forum?

Forum. A guy on their scout forum said they hammered us and then I saw someone link another forum from that rolltidehoops site and it said they beat us by 28. No official media member has said anything though.

Do we just recruit guys that have injury problems or what's going on? Are we taking chances because we aren't being able to pull in guys without problems?

Serious question, not a flame. You seem to follow the recruiting side more than most.

Kessens wasn't injury prone before we recruited him. He's just seemed to constantly have these issues since he's been here.

Yep. I don't think he missed a game at Longwood.

From Grant's PC today

Grant says team is " A little banged up." Got nine scholarship guys ready to go. Ricky, Mike Kessens and Retin Obasohan are "all banged up," but expected back soon.

I went and watched both Grant's and Curry's press conferences and it seems like both programs are plagued with injuries. Curry says only 8 players will be available for their exhibition Sunday and it's sounding like only 9 of the men will be ready for Monday.
